Going down hill. Stopped by Nicos today for lunch and ordered a carne asada burrito smothered with green chile verde, no rice no beans. What I got was a burrito with rice and beans that I specifically told then I didnt want and the burrito was smothered with about 3 cents worth of green verde sauce with no meat. When I brought up the issue to the guy at the counter he tried to tell me that the extra meat that they try to justify doubling the price with is inside the burrito which is complete nonsense. Anyone who has ever eaten at a mexican restaurant knows smothered means smothered with sauce and MEAT. So they doubled the price, from $7 to $14 by putting 3 cents worth of green chile verde then claiming the meat from the sauce was inside the burrito. I have eaten at Nicos for about 7 years and always had great food but when they try to rob their customers with obvious lies they lost me as a customer. Will never eat there again, ever. It was an obvious and blatant ripoff. The only thing smothered in this purchase was the $7 I got ripped off. Threw it in the garbage can and went to Taco Bell. To recap: A burrito is $7, a burrito with 3 cents worth of green chili verde with no meat is $14.

Do not come to this place. It's a hole in the wall, in surprised they are even open. They do not have AC we went just last weekend and it's super hot in there. They give you water but no ice. They give you chips and salsa the chips tasted stale. We ordered: Torta de carne asada Carne asada plate. 2 sopes de carne asada plate The torta (mexican sandwich) the bread was cold and stale and tasted old. The meat had no flavors and it was over cooked. The carne asada plate was super greasy and small portion for the price. The sopes were super greasy and tasted stale. The flour tortillas come from a bag, the corn tortillas are handmade. The food came out cold, too greasy, and the bread was stale. Would we come back here?? Absolutely not, and it's a bit overpriced for the 3 meals we paid 40.00 plus tip.... We didnt even take our leftovers because we were so grossed out by everything. Do not go to this place, you're better off at the taco stand. The people that rated this place a 5, should really venture out this place is farrrrr from "authentic".

I really usually love little local authentic spots like this. And maybe it’s just that from my seat, I could see the kitchen and see where the “sausage” is made so to speak that ruined it for me. Everything is sitting out on a hot table and is simply microwaved before sending it to you. If I wanted microwaved enchiladas, I could have done that at home. I just watched the cook playing and then tossing it all in the microwave - plate after plate. The grill and oven were never touched. The carne asada in my taco was dry like it had been sitting all day. I’m sure zapping it does that to it tho. The enchilada sauce was flavorless. I was excited based on the reviews, but this place was a big disappointment. I didn’t even bother trying to finish it.

Traveling through Utah and staying at the KOA, and this place is right next door. Looked it up and TONS of great reviews, so we had to try it. Definitely did not disappoint, and all the great reviews were on point. Chips and salsa to start was delicious - salsa has got to be homemade; very fresh with just the right bite. I had to go with the specialty - Barbacoa ls Borrega (lamb tacos) plus a big bowl of soup. Amazingly delicious. We also had Fajitas, carne asada Enchilada burrito & taco salad with chicken. All the food was very authentic, flavorful, and very tasty. We finished with some fresh made churros filled with strawberry jam. Prices are more than reasonable, but there is limited seating inside. Service was outstanding.

Tried this place because it was recommended. We arrived about 30 min before closing and were told we could only do takeout. We said we would be out be closing time. I tried the Enchiladas with Mole sauce and was delicious. Recommend trying. Others in our party tried the smothered burrito which all enjoyed. Quesadilla was so so. Small place might be considered a hole in the wall but worth a visit. I would eat here again. On arriving the front staff treated us less than ideally and left a bit of a bitter taste about the whole experience but we enjoyed the food nonetheless. Assuming the chef is Nico, did a great job with the food.

It was my 1st time ordering to a Mexican food restaurant close to my job. I had also heard it was almost out of bussines last year so I wanted to support as well. I love Mole rojo so I ordered the Mole enchiladas and let me tell you that everything was very delicious. It is as authentic as my mother’s mole. Even the rice was red and cooked just right.I love love their Horchata!! I go here almost every Saturday and I have never been disappointed! I love how the owner is always very friendly and considerate;) I do recommend this place for Mexican food🙏🏼❤️💙It’s my number 1 Togo place!
