Nestled next to the serene Jordan River and adjacent to Cottonwood Park, the Cottonwood Dog Park is a true gem for dog lovers and their furry companions. This expansive park boasts lush, grassy fields that seem to stretch on forever, providing ample space for dogs to run, play, and socialize. The fully fenced perimeter offers peace of mind, allowing pups to frolic freely without the worry of wandering off.

One of the standout features of the park is its well-maintained walking paths, perfect for leisurely strolls or energetic jogs alongside your dog. These paths provide a great opportunity for exercise for both dogs and their owners, enhancing the overall experience.

For those who enjoy spending a little extra time outdoors, the picnic tables scattered throughout the park make it easy to set up a relaxing spot for a snack or a meal. It’s a wonderful place to unwind with friends or fellow dog owners while your pets play.

Overall, Cottonwood Dog Park is a fantastic destination that combines space, safety, and scenery, making it a top choice for any dog owner looking to enjoy a day outdoors. Whether you’re there for the exercise, the socialization, or simply the beauty of the surroundings, this park is...

Let me start by saying it is great dog park, and my golden retriever loves going there. The people are friendly and so are most of the dogs.. However, today my dog was attacked by a rather aggressive poodle. At first I thought that there was nothing wrong with my dog. He appeared to get away from the poodle just fine. He seemed intimidated and had his tail tucked between his legs, but I gave him a quick look over and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. It was not until I got home, I was petting him, and my finger when into his side that I realized that the poodle had taken a chunk out of my dog. I bare no ill will towards the man or his two poodles. The owner was a gentleman and checked to make sure that my dog was alright. One of poodles was very nice and tame but the other was extremely aggressive. If the owner of the two poodles sees this: please, please, please muzzle the one that bit my dog, get them trained, or don't take this dog to this park anymore. If anyone who reads this goes to the park and sees a man with two auburn poodles, would you mind sharing this review? I am sure the man will remember...

This park is a great place to take your dogs to socialize and get their energy out. It's big, beautiful, and cared for by the community, and it's regularly visited by since stellar pooches that your dog will love to meet. You can meet some really great people too, ready to chat and swap dog stories if you care to. Please be respectful and responsible with your dogs and yourselves while you are there; aggressive dogs are not welcomed, and dogs who don't respond to commands can be challenging to keep safe/keep others safe in hairy situations. If your dog is misbehaving and you're honest and responsible about it, other folks will be a lot more ready to give you second chances than if you ignore bad behavior or blame others for it. No dog is perfect, but it is very important to take every step possible to keep the dogs and people safe. Always watch your dog, learn your dogs warning signs and behavioral triggers, keep close enough to maintain control of your dog, and have...

Replying to @bean brain Cottonwood dog park was going to be my next video! This one is great for frisbee and fetch—its basically a big open field. Has a few large trees for shade and a couple scattered picnic tables and benches. Not too busy when we went midday on a weekday. One downside is the nearby bathrooms are closed. It’s right off the JRT so it could be a good stop if you walk on that, but not our favorite park and we probably wouldnt drive out of our way to come here. 📍Cottonwood Park, near Rose Park

Park is a single area I would say is a big medium size. One double gated entry and two single gated entrance points. Free bags and garbage inside the fence at entrances. Rolling grasses (cut low), some muddy spots and one old paved path. The path is about 1/10th mile but the loop extends beyond the fence perimeter. Several benches, and tables, water dishes and fresh water pump. Many jugs of dog water throughout park. Lots of trees providing shade. All dogs and owners seemed nice. I didn't notice any abundance of poop.
