This area is trash :( I've seen dirty used condoms, burned tin foil / drug left overs, an entire needle - cap on and full of substance.. I've also witnessed more than 4 people use hard drugs either smoking m*th under the covered tables (while children are playing at the park) as well as ive seen people shooting up under the bridge/ along the Jordan River. VERY Unsafe for children and pets, I know for a fact some angered person has urinated on the park play area and slides :/ I've seen leftover drug matter in the physical kids play ground , I've gone to this park on multiple occasions, taken gloves to throw away these items yet each time I visit there is always something dangerous :( I feel this park needs more surveillance or cop check ins of the area. Alll along the Jordan River trail starting at this park has sketchy unsafe vibes, as well as contaminated trash and drug items:/
Do not allow your kids to play in any snow here as you do not know what is under the snow && I have first hand definitely thrown away an entire needle here. For your kids safety do not take...
Read moreListen, this park is just awesome. I bring my dogs here all the time. I only had one bad experience -and that was today. I came with my dogs and hubby. We brought some food to eat at a picnic table while our dogs could get some exercise. We hadn't even reached a table when a woman's dog jumped on me from behind. Ok, no biggie, she came and got the dog BUT THEN proceed to rant at me that food isn't allowed in the dog park and now she has to leave because I ruined her dogs fun? WHHHAAAT? Lady, there isn't a single rule about that on the signs - they have picnic events at this park quite often, there are PICNIC TABLES, the park is HUGE and you could easily redirect your dog to another part and, last but not least, MAYBE TRAIN YOUR DOG NOT TO JUMP UP ON PEOPLE WALKING? Sorry everyone else. I just had to get that off my chest because some people have to be A-holes just because they have nothing...
Read moreWe were visiting from out of state and wanted a place to walk the pup. Getting here was almost impossible due to poor signage and it being tucked so far into an odd little neighborhood.
The good: There was a large fenced and grassy dog park, and the entire park itself was well-manicured. The playground was large and newer.
The bad: There was a massive and clearly permanent homeless camp in the park, and the neighborhood surrounding seemed very rough. I was hoping to walk on the river trail, but NO WAY was that happening. I did not feel safe as a single woman walking my dog in the park. To top it all off, there were swarms of biting bugs everywhere. Maybe if you're from here this seems nice, for me it's...
