This place is so good me and my wife walked in for dinner curious about trying a nice Somalian dish. We got the half-and-half plate with goat and beef. We also try the lamb soup and sambosa with a nice hot milk tea, which was really good. We definitely were not disappointed. Everything was fresh, tender, and tasty. It’s right across the street from the Loves truckstop FUEL Island. You definitely need to run in here and get you a nice fresh plate. I had the beef and goat and my gosh when I say good!! I mean it’s good!! 😋. This place definitely made me a fan of Somalian food. The people inside were also very nice. The little girl was very sweet and the mom was very nice. I felt very welcomed. I also bought some Middle Eastern fragrance’s to add to my collection for me and my wife. Definitely a 10 out of 10 🙏🏿🤌🏿👍🏿🔥

Best restaurant for somali, that I have gone on the raod, very welcoming people, clean and calm place. Unlikely other somali restuarant, overcrowded and noisy and trash thrown everywhere. Bro if you come here, you are in a good hand. I only over heard the woman who own the restuarant talking ill about the somali president called him (armaajo) i'm not his supporter but some of his tribe or supporter might hear that and might not like about it. Business and politics should not mixed up. Stay out of it. Overall nice place to take your reset.

We ordered Goat Rice, beef pasta, sambosa.

Both meat came out cold(like they came out of the freezer). Meat was dry, totally flavorless and looks like it was made 2 days ago. Totally not fresh food. Also meat quantity was really small.

The pasta and rice were lackluster.

Samosas was okay.

The green sauce consistency was iffy.

It definitely looks like the food is already cooked and re-heated for customer.

Everything food-wise was low quality... in comparison to Noor restaurant which was excellent at all level and set the standard for me as far as taste.

I will never eat at Midnimo again! I'm actually feeling nauseous as I type this ( probably from the cold meat I ate)

It sucks the friends I brought had THIS as their first Somalian experience. I'll take them to Noor next time.

Summary: Midnimo is a cleaner restaurant, has comfortable, seat but food is terrible.

Noor: Not as organized, no comfortable chairs but food is flavorful and...

My husband and I visited here today was our first time having Somali food and might I say it was delicious and all the reviews were right the food was plenty the people were very nice it was a great atmosphere. Now for the food we both had the lamb shank with the rice and a side of spaghetti with salad and it was all delicious the lamb shank had a seasoning that was just out of this world we enjoyed ourselves. And we want to say thank you to the little Young lady that took the time to walk us through the menu and answer any questions that we had. We also had the milk tea have everyone talks about and yes it is quite delicious as well. I had ordered the lamb soup but forgot about it after I started eating everything else and by that time I was completely full so I will have the lamb soup the next time we are in because we're definitely will...

I don't understand the low reviews or why this place is not busy compared to Noor and Global Place. It is just as good if not better than Noor, and worlds better than Global. We loved it so much we went 2 days in a row, then went back for breakfast 2 days in a row.

The waslat (lamb shank), both roasted and unroasted (both were amazing, the roasted was my favorite), comes with either pasta (angel hair) or rice (both are good).

KK or kati kati was also good.

The fish sandwich was good but a little bland and too much bread; I think I would get the fish as a platter with rice instead - not that the sandwich was bad, mind you! And the fish was fried perfectly.

Did these as takeout, but I bet they'd be even better fresh out the kitchen in the restaurant.

Also appreciated the complimentary banana and the fact that they remembered me after...
