I am not Pacific Islander so I do not remember the names of the dishes , but I got a curry chicken with vegetables, the pork chop and what they called Sweet Potato.
The curry was delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. I would go back just for that entree. The pork chop was mediocre. If this makes sense, it was both cooked too long to be tender, but not cooked long enough to be tender. The meat seized up and was dry. Flavor was nice but I was not impressed. Now, what they called Sweet Potato, was not a yam/sweet potato, but was a regular potato cooked in milk ? I think? It was delicious. Great texture, went with my curry beautifully.
The restaurant itself was a bit lackluster, it doesn’t flow well and the seating seems haphazard. The food was good - I would go back again ! What an interesting find in a somewhat unsuspecting location!
If you don’t have an open mind or palate, this might not be the place for you. Their menu is not in English and does not need to be, they have a lot of Pacific Islanders as customers who know exactly what things are. I had to ask questions and still felt like I didnt get the best they have to offer. I enjoyed this restaurant; the food was...
Read moreI agree with the other reviews that called this comfort food. Unfortunately for me I also saw that the cooking is unhealthy. I thought I could get the lamb and was kind of shocked to see them putting the lamb in the deep fryer. I like trying different dishes and cuisines and I thought my choices of lamb wrapped taro leaves would be healthy but the food was generally overcooked for my liking. I later talked to a Tongan couple at my gym about my experience at this restaurant which they go to every Sunday. They said they always have to use the sauna the next day to detox from eating their. They also said they prefer Mexican cuisine to their own native food because Mexican food gives them energy for working whereas eating at Pacific Seas makes them need a nap. I wish I could have found a dish that resembled...
Read moreWe just had them cater for my brothers wedding. We ordered 200+ plates that included kumala, ufi, sipi, sapa sui and lu sipi. THIS WAS THE VERY BEST!! Such a huge part they played in getting our order so we can enjoy the ceremony. They were on time. They kept great communication with us and let us know when they were headed to the location. They brought all the plates already ready with utensils in huge food storage bags that they let us hold onto to help keep our food warm and when it came time to serve our food, it smelled so delicious and was so warm ready to eat. We got so many compliments from our wedding party about the food. This was well executed and I would completely recommend them for your poly events. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Well done Pacific Seas! Thank you so very much for great food and...
