Where to start sometimes is the hardest. I do not like to be critical or demeaning to and individual or business. However, there are times when you are compelled to do so.
I would like to preface that I enjoy Subway and enjoy their products and location and will continue to be a customer, but not at the location on 1240 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.
I have had several issues with this location's staff. They tend to not be the happiest of people. Today when I took my wife to lunch there the individual that was assisting us, was rather short with us. One word answers and said fine when we asked for more of an item. The other issue was her attention to my wife and I. In my opinion they were trying to train a new employee, but I cannot verify this assumption. They continually interrupted making our sandwiches to speak with this person for 3 to 5 seconds each time. While they would do this attention to adding toppings varied. The tipping point for me was when I asked for light vinegar. Alas, what I would deem, estimated 3 tablespoons later my stomach started to cringe. While I attempted to regain their attention regarding the amount with excuse me and hello, I decided to clap and say" Hey, over here", the attitude when from bad to down right dreadful. This person removed every topping from the second area and said "Now, what would you like on it?" Taken back with the thought, "Didn't we just go through this?" Proceeded to once again build my sandwich. The manager had just returned and we expressed to them how rude we felt that person was. Not even an apology. 3 minutes later I was free of the place.
I attempted to call the location and speak with anyone about our experience and to my surprise the phone went to a voicemail that was full. Shocked I called Subways Corp and expressed what had happened. I decided to go back and return my sandwich and requested a return of my money for the untouched sandwich when I was argued with by the same manager that we had talked to before. Needless to say I left the sandwich with him and walked out without a refund.
I feel that they do not care about their customers. Oh well. A loss of $8.00 on principle...
Read moreI agree with Reed and Bart, the staff at this location acts as if they have been cheated out of their life's dream, and they take it out on their customers. I found them to be very short and down right rude to not just me, but to the other customers as well. I find it hard to believe that the manager was working on the soda machine not 10 to 15 feet away from the other employee's, and not once did i see him look over when the employee's were rude and actually a little mean to one of the customers. I think someone needs some manager training. Also, i feel that the employee's under this manager need to be taught some common sense manners. But the way it looks i don't believe this will happen any time soon, therefore i will not be going back to that location. They can take their bad attitudes and put them in a 12" piece of bread and eat it. Their sales will suffer and then maybe someone of importance will read the reviews that have been placed on this page. My opinion is don't go to this location it will be worth the extra mile to go to a different subway location to eat. Later Daze...
Read moreI come in here about every week but this time I had an online order from the App that should have been done at 3:40 pm, I got there at 3:50 and my food wasn't even started, I have a limited amount of time for my work break and I can't wait for 20 minutes while the employee finishes the line where as mine should have already been at least started. I left and called to have the order canceled seeing as it was never even started and I was told to do it online, there is no where to do it online and it said to call the store to cancel an order, so I called back and was told to call a "1-800 number somewhere online" I looked, there was none. I called back and said that you the store has to cancel it and she said that a manager has to cancel it and there isn't one until Monday so she expected me to just eat the cost. I told her to get a manager or get ahold of one to cancel my order so she left a note for the manager with my order for Monday.
