Paid $45 for breakfast on DoorDash over a hour ago. Had my dasher reassigned several times (which did not bother me, I just figured it was busy) and then received a message from my 3rd or 4th dasher to say they are not accepting orders at this store for DoorDash. If that is the case, why not cancel my order instead of wasting my time and the door dashers time that are trying to make a living. Very unprofessional. First time trying this place and will not be ordering again. (Well, I didn’t even get my food so) Great way to run a business🤣 Update: can’t even reach anyone at the store. Have called 5 times. Apparently DoorDash Customer Service couldn’t reach them either.

Great secret spot (at least for now, until everyone learns about it!). Had good indoor seating, and outdoor seating too. The music outside was a bit loud but not bad. The staff greeted us in a super friendly way, and told us all about the menu (the sausage is sourced right from the farmer's market!). And then there's the food: you can tell they love what they are doing. From the melt-in-your-mouth brioche to the fresh avocado to their custom smooth and mild salsa, everything was delicious. We saw people getting take-out, and considering the food quality with no Sunday brunch lines like everywhere else, it's no wonder!

Incredible breakfast sandwich! Easily best I have had in my life. They don't try to reinvent the wheel with unusual ingredients or a special sauce. Ingredients are high quality and simple. When we first arrived to Salt Egg City we thought we were in the wrong place. Inside the marked door was a large warehouse like space with racks of storage and boxes. Nestled in the boxes is a tiny kitchen area and 3 chefs feverishly working to make the best breakfast sandwich in the state. The chef that took our order from the simple and comforting menu was friendly and the wait was short. We will absolutely be back!

I simply have to write a review. This was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. This little shop is located inside of....I don't even know how to describe it, but it is a...unique set up. The day I went it was 15 degrees outside and they had the door wide open.

The menu is so simple. They only do a few things here and you can see right into their little kitchen while they do it. I waited about 10 minutes for a bacon, egg, and cheese, freezing my buns off.

It was worth it and then some. Have you ever experienced food that transcends the elements? I shivered back to my car and opened the bag because I was hungry from my wait.

Inside, the most beautiful sandwich awaited. The bun is brioche, not generally a favorite of mine, but this was special. Browned on top, chewy, with that little hint of sweetness which worked perfectly for this sandwich.

Next, a couple of strips of thick cut Berkshire bacon, crisped right to the edge of perfection. The bacon slightly overflows the bun, as it should. Next, a perfectly fried egg with a little crispy lattice on the outside and a runny yolk on the inside. When you bite the yolk, it adds a creaminess that makes the sandwich feel even more decadent. Finally, melted American cheese adds saltiness, creaminess and holds everything together.

On the side, a container of red pepper sauce that compliments the sandwich to perfection and helps cut through the fatty unctuousness of the sandwich. A perfect pairing, really.

When I was done, I realized I hadn't even turned my car on. I'd been so engrossed in this perfect sandwich I'd forgotten it was freezing.

There aren't many dishes I eat where I don't think "I could probably do that better at home," but this was one of them. I'll never beat this.

I'm converted and now I share my testimony of the gospel of Salt Egg City: It's phenomenal!

Update: I had to return the next day and let me say this: it was even BETTER. You know when you anticipate something being awesome and it...

Great breakfast sandwich! :) I ordered the Double Sausage, Egg & Cheese and I loved it!

The sandwich was warm, juicy, the right amount of fattiness and saltiness. I liked that the breakfast sausage wasn't too salty itself and the eggs tasted great. The sauce (sriracha like) was really good, although not spicy at all - I normally like having a hot sauce but I didn't miss it with this sandwich! Everything went really well together. The flavors are simple - you're getting a solid and great tasting breakfast sandwich.

The bread: I was surprisingly happy with it! To be honest with you 1) I am picky with any type of bread 2) I don't love when the proportions are off with sandwiches/burgers. When the bread is too thick, not nicely cooked, dry, etc... it's just too much and I feel like it cancels the flavors of the other ingredients. This brioche bun was a great decision!! It adds to the softness and juiciness of the sandwich and made it easy to eat so thank you for that!! If you're somehow like me, I'd recommend getting a Double Sausage or Bacon, Egg & Cheese instead of a Simple because it was a perfect balance with the bread.

I placed a pick-up order online and my sandwich was ready right on time. I entered just a couple minutes before my pick-up time so I sat on one of the chairs just to wait for a bit. As soon as the staff member (also cook - I believe it was Carlos, the owner?) saw me (which took him literally 5 seconds), he came to me and was very friendly, welcoming, warm.

Order was packaged well....

Absolutely amazing!

This place has such a cool vibe. There are several different small eateries inside. The menu is small which threw me off at first. I got the sandwich with sausage and my husband had his with bacon. We also had orange juice and apple.

When it comes to the juice, if you aren't use to natural flavors, its going to throw you off. Otherwise its going to be nostalgic. Highly recommend the apple juice. It is bottled so make sure to shake it.

When it comes to the sandwiches, they are both excellent. Absolutely perfect. The bread is soft but not falling apart. The egg is made just right. The meat is great. Now the sausage was a smash patty which I have never experienced. Bacon was thicker. Don't forget the sauce that they make in house. A wonderful fresno pepper dip that I can't seem to replicate.

If you want a great breakfast sandwich that is made for you to enjoy every bite, then SEC is the place to go. I had zero disappointment and can't...
