Truly, just a terrible experience. They’re so obsessed with preventing theft, you can’t actually buy anything without inconveniencing yourself so thoroughly I may as well just shop online or drive to another store. I see the greeters carefully pouring over and scouring the receipt of someone who bought three items. What a way to make shoppers feel unwelcome. Not to mention, in order to buy a $3 bike patch kit, I need to hunt down an employee to open this case for me. Of course the call button doesn’t work. They can install an expensive glass case, but can’t make a button function. If you managed to hunt down an employee, you can’t actually take your items to the register. The employee (who is helping three different people at once, since they seem to be the only employee in the entire back half of the store) is required to walk you all the way to the register. I have other things I wanted to buy?? What if I need multiple things out of multiple cases? The employee needs to follow me around? Or am I only allowed to buy one item at a time? I gave up. It’s literally easier just to shop at target instead. They don’t treat me like a criminal for wanting to fix my bike, or daring to leave the store with my purchases. And I can actually purchase items, instead of having to do a really irritating song and dance to get my hands on a $3 product. Oh, and I couldn’t even figure out how to make this complaint in store. Don’t know why anyone would shop here when target is a block away. Save your time.

Ok I am not a fan of Walmart and try to not go here unless I have to. Well today in the middle of winter down town Salt Lake City I passed a woman who was standing in a parking lot in slippers. This was 1 day after a major snow storm. I felt prompted to buy her some snow boots. Walmart was the closest place. After asking her shoe size I went to Wally world. Surprisingly this Walmart was very well kept. Super clean. I walked back to the shoe department and yes I was lost. As I was looking an associate asked me if she could help. "STOP!!" Yes I was asked if I needed help. To top it off she had a smile. I am not trying to be hard on Walmart but as many times as I have been in one the was the first time EVER that I was treated with that amazing customer service. I told her what I needed and the size. She got a grin on her face and said, quick follow me. She took me to the only pair of boots in that size. She told me that was the only pair they got I. Thar size and she just put them out like 5 minutes ago. Wow I think our father in heaven was telling me this was meant to be. I thanked her for being so kind and told her Merry Christmas. The check out was fast and simple. Very clean machines. I delivered to boots and added some hot hands and treats. Let's just say she was more than happy. I want to thank Walmart for adding the joy and peace that was needed for that interaction. I live 10 miles from this Walmart and I will always be proud to go there and do business. Thanks Walmart.

Went to Walmart to get reading glasses. Found some I wanted that had some sticky substance on them. Tried to ask a manager to discount them. No manager in the store at 7:15 pm on June 11th. I asked 6 employees and not one of them could contact a manager. Even the security guard couldn't reach a manager. Everyone told me to go to customer service, except it was closed and the lights were turned off. Employees standing in front of the closed customer service still told me to go there. Who was managing the store? Don't they have walkie talkies or an intercom? Not one employee knew how to reach a manager. More bad results at this Walmart. So I went to Walmart to pickup a photo I had printed. The photo center people forgot to trim all the edges of the photo. I went to get a frame for it and it didn't fit. Lucky I went to get the frame or I'd have walked all the way home and then would have had to return. I went back and got them to fix it. They claimed they left the extra space because some people like to write a note on the side. But then it won't fit in a picture frame. I ordered a 5×7 photo for a reason.

OVERALL:

-poor customer service -pickup took 30 minutes -weren’t answering phones -website wasn’t working -parking unclear

I ordered a pair of jeans yesterday to pick up for today. I clicked in the app when I left. Then I clicked when I got there. I waited for like 5 minutes, and no one came. It was only a pair of jeans I was picking up so I thought it would be pretty quick. But I thought maybe the app hadn’t worked or something. So I called the number on the sign. They didn’t answer and the automated response said to call again. So I kept calling, no one answered. I called the main line for the store and they said the person on the pickup line would call me back. I waited 20 more minutes with nothing. I called again and they finally answered and said I was in the wrong parking. I parked in front of a sign with a number that said “pickup” and the number to their pickup line. So you can see why I thought that was the pickup. Apparently it is their extended parking and it’s not ready yet. So maybe they should have another sign saying that the pickup there isn’t ready yet. The main thing I’m upset about is that they never called me back or tried to communicate at all. You’d think that if they had an order and they couldn’t find the person it belonged to, they would try to find who was waiting. Because I had submitted that I was waiting in the app. Anyway I find the right parking, and they told me to park in spot 14. Someone was already in that spot, so I parked next to them. There was almost no one else in any of the other spots, so clearly they weren’t busy. It is also weird that they would tell me to park in spot 14 when there was already someone there. Then like 5 minutes later some guy came out and tried to give my order to the lady in spot 14. She kept trying to tell him it wasn’t hers but I don’t think he spoke English. So I waved him over to me and he gave it to me. Then I tried to leave feedback through the email they sent me after the pickup, and I tried 5 times to submit it, and it said try again later every time. It’s ridiculous that I had to wait 30 minutes to pick up a pair of jeans that I ordered days in advance. I will not be shopping at this Walmart location again, or at least never doing the pickup again. Way too much...

Well this actually is NOT my favorite location. However, was nearest ss I headed home.I will refrain from fabricating stories of fabulous customer service at Walmart..it just is not to be good old Sam Goody didn't get filthy rich because he sought out high caliber, highly educated, goal seeking over achievers to wear those blue vests,no, he has the same focus & priority on Human Resources & employee retention & satisfaction as he does on buying power in numbers, stack em deep & sale them cheap, no loyalty to truckers, warehouse personel, even 1st level management..his theory is if they don't show tmrw, fire & rehire..absolutely feels zero obligation to be or appear warm & fuzzy & is too wealthy to care who likes him, see its actually genius, the pet stops sitting by you if you dont pet it or show love, it stops expecting anything therefore accepting it will never change, so the pet just learns to do the absolute least for his master & the master ends up accepting a mediocre nothing pet..neither expecting anything but the bare minimum, old Sam became a millionaire with that theory & New York attitude & its working smashing for him..Same old same old..nothings ever marked with price, if its your lucky year & after yelling Mamn, Sir as you're chasing a BlueVest down the isle because you need one dang can of spray paint, locked up, if the associate stops & through the dirty & semi comatose expression on their face, you sense maybe a heartbeat & they actually slump, mumble & start heading for paint dept then you have struck gold & the Sam Goody Lottery! Count your blessing & footsteps till you are once again outside breathing real air & once again survived you're trip to Walmart, exspect NOTHING & you will never be disappointed.. Travel safe, calm & NEVER think you ate better than that person In traffic your tempted to flip off or honk...You may have survived Walmart, but do something stupid going home..may very well be your last. Drive & stay alive AVOIDING ROAD RAGE ALWAYS..your family...

I utterly dread going to this location. The quality of people that frequent this location leave much to be desired, and the staff doesn't seem to want to improve the situation. I see theft almost every time I am there and it doesn't matter if I tell someone who seems put out that they may actually have to do SOMETHING, or if an associate is literally watching it happen and simply shrugs his shoulders and rolls his eyes as if to say "eh, it happens all the time." Their customer service when you call in is, by far, the absolute, worst thing I have ever experienced anywhere, EVER. I would never wish calling this Walmart on even my worst enemy! I was on hold through multiple departments, who would pick up and put me back on hold without saying anything to me at all, for 13 minutes before someone finally answered. Then I was told that they needed the UPC of the item I was looking for (note, I was looking for it, I didn't have it, therefore I didn't have a UPC). They couldn't look up the item by name or even item number... THE WALMART ITEM NUMBER was not enough for them to look it up. I had her stay on the line with me while I found it online (I figured I waited that long, so could they. Also, jokingly asked if this was why it took so long to get through to anybody). That lady handed the phone to Lacey who was incredibly patient and understanding and even helpful, she did her best to explain why the Walmart number is useless, it didn't make sense to me but I had other things to think about. When I found the number, she found that they did have it, and said she would transfer me to have someone go find it. I begged her not to transfer me since I knew nobody would answer, she generously went herself. Lacey was the only saving Grace for this entire store!! I would avoid this location...
