After a post-nap recharge, my boyfriend and I were ready for our tradition: tackling a local escape room while traveling. I had already scoped out Escape on 13th before our trip and was excited when we snagged a 9:40 PM spot for the Species Unknown room after dinner.

The location itself is super cool—right next to an awesome haunted house, which immediately set the tone. We were warmly greeted, watched the intro videos as usual, and were introduced to our game master, who let us know Zeera would be available to help us through the mission. Of course, we had no intention of needing her.

As always, we started out as a team… and then went rogue—doing what we do best. One particularly fun moment was solving a puzzle with the chyper ring I happened to be wearing. If there was a clue with the code we didn’t need or find it😅

There was one puzzle we’d never seen before, which is always exciting for seasoned escape room players. We wrapped up the room with 7 minutes to spare. Another one conquered!

Overall, this was a great experience—fun room design, creative puzzles, and just the right level of challenge. Highly recommend if you’re in town and looking for a fun,...

Holy crap.

This was probably one of the coolest escape rooms I have done. Very immersive. Everything was done well and you could tell the crew put effort into the decor and making sure each puzzle was well made. It didn't feel cheap like other escape rooms I've done.

The puzzles were also super creative and really made me and my group think outside the box. There was also clever ways to slow you down and make sure you had to stay in groups. Without spoiling too much, you could just tell the guys who put it together really thought through each step from beginning to end and how people would interact.

My group did the "Curse of Anubis" room, which featured an immersive story, fun puzzles, and great decorations. Our staff member that was helping us was also super kind and helpful, and was really good at selling the story. I would highly recommend this room. We finished in 45 minutes and had a blast! I would only not recommend this room if you're particularly claustrophobic or scared of the dark. There were some tight spaces for a big group and it was intentionally very dark.

Thanks to the staff for such an amazing experience! It was worth...

We have long been fans of Nightmare on 13th and were so excited to find that the geniuses behind it were creating an escape room! My wife and I and two friends came and did the "Walk the Plank" pirate-themed escape room. I had high expectations, but Escape on 13th blew them out of the water (bad pun intended)! The amount of detail in the room was absolutely incredible. The puzzles were challenging, but not insurmountable and the hint system was genius. There were also some pretty incredible special effects that I won't describe because I don't want to give anything away! On the whole, this was an incredible experience and well worth the price. For $25 a person, that's pretty standard for escape rooms in the area, but here you get a much more immersive experience. We will definitely be returning to try our hand at "Rogue Agent" and, when it opens in a couple months, "Curse of Anubis!" Escape on 13th makes for an excellent date night, family night or team-building exercise. Do yourself a favor and book an...
