Un Cafecito SLC — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I stopped by to grab a coffee before work and arrived at 9:01. When I walked in, the owner said, “I’ll be with you in one moment.” So I waited… and waited… and waited. There was no one in front of me, but I could see her making what looked like 20 coffees.

Two more ladies walked in behind me, and then another customer came in — yet none of us were helped. About 15 minutes later, the owner finally said, “I’m getting DoorDash orders ready.” Clearly, she didn’t care about the customers standing there waiting.

All I wanted was one coffee, but instead of quickly taking my order, she left me waiting nearly 20 minutes. Worst coffee shop experience ever. They used to be great when they first opened, but now their customer service is a 1. It feels like they’ve built up their clientele and no longer care about their walk-in customers.

Un Caffecito is such a wonderful find! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. They gave me great recommendations and were genuinely excited to share what they love about their menu. The shop itself is adorable—cozy, warm, and super clean. It has a relaxed vibe that just invites you to stay and enjoy your time there.

The drinks are unique, and I loved the Azucar—it had just the right amount of sweetness. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into their drinks, and everything feels fresh and made with care.

Honestly I love this place. New favorite coffee spot hands down. We are always warmly greeted with a smile regardless of the time of day we visit. The drinks are always well put together, thoughtful, meaningful, and most importantly, consistent. I can truly tell that the owner and employees care greatly about the experience provided to customers. Great place for a quick coffee break, and even an extended study break.
