Very nice staff, but very understaffed, a simple 3 taco order with the consome can take (around noon) close to 20-25 min, unsure why as they have many pre-made ones, and its not a complicated dish by any means even when starting it, i realize they have multiple locations open and ive gone to all, but always looks understaffed, unsure if its 1 owner or franchise but this is a common theme with most locations.
Ive been going since they first opened that location, it was great, flavorful (hence them opening up more locations and always wishing the best for them) but lately ive seen a downfall in flavor, not enough for me to stop going as many other birria places are worst, but when tasting the meat by itself its a hit or miss in regards with flavor, some days it tastes great, other days its flavorless, if it wasnt for the oil and toppings along with salsa this food would have no point. Again this is the birria, not their regular pricey tacos.
This location of north temple, can be ghetto at times, with the homeless outside as they are next to a smoke shop, and the basic interior they have, this is a quick spot to sit, eat and leave, not a place to sit down and hang out.
Overall, arrive there with time or on slow moments (before noon) and be prepared to wait, slow times can take up to 10 min for 3 tacos and consome, its a busy spot so owners should focus on more staff if possible. Tacos are "good" but not great, hard to find any great tacos...
Read moreThe tacos were very good. My second favorite taco place in Utah, overall. Extremely good, actually. The service was friendly as well. These folks should take pride in their product. Five stars for the tacos!
The location was extremely sketchy. Minus two stars for that.
While we were walking from the car to pick up our order, some creepy looking dude who was walking past us turned around and starting following us closely. I turned around twice to glance at him and he was making intense eye contact with me both times. Once I pushed my girlfriend through the door of the restaurant, he suddenly turned around again and started back in the direction he was originally walking. Once we returned to our car, while we were checking our food, a homeless guy kept walking up to our car and looking in at us... Literally while we were sitting in it. There was broken glass in two parking spots in the lot as well, which I believe is an indication that there is a risk of getting your car broken into. I didn’t grow up sheltered and I usually chuckle when I hear someone say, “oh that place is so ghetto” because I didn’t grow up in a very safe area myself, but my visit here made me uncomfortable.
The tacos are great and I would come back for them if I was really craving good tacos, but I wouldn’t bring my girlfriend with me again,...
Read moreI absolutely love birria and I was excited to try these tacos because their page on Instagram looks amazing the food looks really appetizing so finally decided to order, let me start off by the location is in such a rough area I felt so uncomfortable being in the car with my kids waiting for my husband to get the food their was homeless people everywhere and saw a drug deal go down right in front of me so this is not a family friendly place that was the first red flag we ran home to eat our tacos because we were so excited to eat well when we opened the consome cup and dipped my taco it was straight up OIL I thought that’s ok that’s normal so I got up took about 5 spoons full out (the oil) but it unfortunately just had to much oil that more oil kept raising up and being 100% Mexican I have to say it did not taste like birria it had a little bit of the taste but not much overall the hype on these tacos was not what I thought and that makes me so sad because I was really looking forward to loving them but instead I ended up feeling sick from all the oil after, I hope they improve these things and LOCATIONS and I might order again but for now this...
