This may have been the best burger of my life! As a Charleston, SC realtor, I travel often, and in this case, I was in town helping with hurricane Helene disaster relief. I was so glad to see Saluda back up and running so quickly – and even more glad because it meant I could experience the incredible food at Ward's Grill! I’m the type of person who loves a good recommendation, and sometimes I even like to leave it up to the chef. Ward's Grill was the perfect spot for me, with their "Roulette Burger" on the menu – a surprise burger created just for you. My Roulette Burger was out of this world: double patty, tiger sauce, bacon jelly, and spicy mustard – a one-of-a-kind combination that blew me away! The ambiance here is just what you'd want in a classic grill – you can watch your food being cooked right at the bar or grab a table and enjoy an ice-cold Coke. Ward's has that warm, nostalgic diner feel, and the food is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend stopping by and definitely give the Roulette Burger a try!

Stopped by for lunch with seven other people while we're out on a day ride on our motorcycles. The place was very welcoming. Definitely has that old-time grill/diner feel. Most everybody enjoyed their lunch. The corn nuggets were fantastic. The hot dogs were pretty good. Add chili on one and sauerkraut on the other. Both were excellent. The only real disappointment was the fried green tomatoes. Too much breading and not enough tomato. The only other food comment was from my buddy who got the chicken nuggets. They were swimming in way too much sauce. But otherwise tasted good. Service was pretty good, but at no point was anybody offered any sort of drink refill.

Excellent service. A cool old grill, with nostalgic decor. I would've settled for a decent burger, but was pleasantly surprised to get excellent burgers, grilled fresh, on grilled brioche buns. I got the Black and Blue, my wife got a plain cheeseburger. She stopped to watch met try to take the first bite...it was tough, but I worked my way into the big burger and was rewarded with crisp bacon and sharp Bleu Cheese. My fries were tasty. Her onion rings were as well. I can't wait to return for a Reuben ! Thanks!

Y'all have got to try the bologna Reuben. I am here to tell you hands down this was the best fried bologna Reuben sandwich I had ever had and the fries are amazing. Short story so they were out of the regular meat for a Reuben so I asked can I replace with fried bologna? Yes they never heard of it .. me either untill I tried it and OMG if you haven't had one you should try it.!!! Sometimes substitutions are the best. Thank you for awesome service and southern hospitality love this place I eat here almost every Saturday morning for their breakfast buffet. Never go wrong at Wards Grill. Keep it...
