Fleming's Family Diner — Restaurant in San Angelo

Ate there yesterday, the service was good but that was where the good ended. The cook was loud and obnoxious, you could hear him throughout the diner. After we ordered he finally decided that he couldn't make salads since he didn't have any lettuce, he only had enough pot roast for one more serving and he was not happy. I should add this all happened at the beginning of lunch time not after they had been serving for a while. When they did bring our food mine was ok but the vegetable soup my wife ordered was a dry club of vegetables that looked like they were left over from the day before and the glob of mayo they put on her BLT minus the lettuce looked old and stale. I don't often write negative reviews but this guy took the cake. The waitress was very nice and even offered to pay for our meal herself. We declined since she was not the problem. Food was great waitress was a total mess everything I tried saying about how we wanted our food she had a attitude about it. Instead of saying we are short handed an having to close early she was rude. We came here for late lunch after moving my son in the web page said nothing about closing early smh. Needless to say she received no tip only time she topped of our drinks was when we paid and with tht she didn't bring the ticket but wanted my card like lady what's my total lmbo she snapped and said it's on the ticket where the hell is the ticket I thought but she snapped again and said up front I can get it if u want to see it umm yeah but I just followed her up there just bad service all around I get the lack of help I deal with it but do not take it out on people ho come in for a service...

2 visits - had a decent breakfast on a weekday morning for an off-site work staff meeting. A few months later I took my family for a visit on a Saturday morning since the wait at Roxies Diner was too long - had a very different experience. We walked in at 10:35, 5 mins after they stop serving breakfast. I asked the waitress if we were too late, she asked the cook staff and the answer was yes. No big deal, we ordered lunch. An elderly couple walked in 15 mins after us and ordered breakfast. I thought maybe they were regulars...again, not a big deal but the rules should apply to all.
