Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in San Angelo

I like Papa John's pizza and I am somewhat satisfied overall with the service of the Papa John's here in San Angelo. I WOULD have given a 5 star rating but twice I have been disappointed and dissatisfied if I order Delivery between 5 and closing time. The problem is that the Delivery orders have been much later than quoted online. The two times I speak of the Delivery time was 1 hour and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes later than the quoted time online. Both times I called to find out why the Delivery was late and both times I spoke the the acting manager for the hours from 5pm to closing and that manager is a very rude woman and she lies about the time it shows on their computer that I placed the order. She insists that I don't even know what time it was when I placed the order which is a silly assumption. The confirmation email and the app shows what time I placed the order and she lies and tells me again what time her computer said I did. So, I will order from Papa John's again but just not between the hours of 5pm and closing time. Even the Delivery driver told me this last time which was 7/7/2020 that he headed to my address as soon as he got the order but when I was on the phone with this particular manager on duty she put me on hold to check where he was and he was on the opposite side of the city from me. I will remember not to order pizza from Papa John's after 5pm. The service...

FINAL edit 6/5/25: Love the food... however - my job prevents me from leaving to go pick up so I ordered delivery. ALL I wanted was cheesesticks, extra sauce, and a 20oz Dr Pepper. I had a $20 and figured that would cover the purchase. I ordered and found a promo code and my total with delivery fee and tax was $17+. I couldn't finish my order because the restaurant requires a minimum $15 order for delivery. So I removed the promo code (which was 25% off) and added a $5 tip and there you have it. I had to pay $26+ for 10" cheesesticks, 3 extra sauce cups and a 20oz Dr Pepper. OUTRAGEOUS! I'm done.... not eating here anymore.

Editing 11/21/23 to add: ordered 2 orders of cheesesticks and 6 extra sauce cups. Sent my daughter with $100 bill to pick up and pay cash. She had to use her card because they wouldn't break a $100 in store. They also didn't include the extra sauce cups in the order. They're quickly losing my business.

Original review: Just watched my order leave the store, travel alllllll the way up to 47th street…. And back. (I’m literally less than a mile from the restaurant.) really don’t appreciate being the last one to get my order (knowing it’s going to be lukewarm at best when it gets here.) Sounds like a delivery driver needs some training on...

I can't believe what happened. I get a call from the driver saying she is lost. When I asked her where she is she said "i don't know". I then asked her for an intersection and she gives me one street. Then she said she was at a place that says "trailer sales". I asked again where she was and said she was in a dirt lot. I dont know what kind of idiotic people they are hiring but maybe they need to learn how to read a map. I hung up with her and call the store to talk to the manager. (You won't believe what happened then) She asked me if I had ever been lost. I said of course I drove truck. The manager then said "if you were lost how did you know where I was?"
