Angelo Civic Theatre — Attraction in San Angelo

The Angelo Civic Theatre is an amazing hidden gem of San Angelo. I have driven by multiple times not knowing what it is but they put on plays and they are amazing. My first time here I saw Clue on opening night. The cast and crew did an amazing job and were very well rehearsed. The theater offers refreshments at no cost but asks for donations to help keep the place running. The parking is very spacious but there is no lighting in the lot for after a late show. The building has a vintage look but has the comforts of modern day. The bathrooms are tight and only a couple stalls per bathroom but they get the job done. The Play That Went Wrong Wow!!!! Im from out of state and I love our local theater!!! I went to watch this show on their last dress rehearsal and was utterly impressed!!! What a great cast of characters!!!! They did an amazing job!! Every person in the room was in tears laughing, I personally felt like I did a 1000 crunches from laughing so hard!!! Just watched half of “A History of America”. Highly disappointing. We have always loved the shows. This one was unnecessarily raunchy, although there was no indication in the description. I have never left at intermission before. I am all for an innuendo or two, but this was egregious and disrespectful. I took a 7 year old who loves history.
