If I had a home away from home in San Angelo, it would be the Garden Lounge. Looking for a light bite to eat? This is your place. As far as cocktails go, the menu offers some of the tastiest and most interesting/creative wine based drinks I’ve ever had, and also offers non alcoholic options of the same drinks. While I rate service, and food/drinks an easy 5 stars. The real magic of the Garden Lounge is in the atmosphere, the environment, and most importantly to me, the people. This is not a bar for wild and raucous weekends, nor is it a full service restaurant. This is a place to meet over snack and drink, to listen to music and to make new friends. The Lounge is a wonderful, chill spot that suits any personality type. The selection of wines, beers, and spirits are excellent, and the house-made finger foods complement any selection. The atmosphere sets you at ease, and it’s a great place to come with friends, a date, or on your own with a good book. There are blankets in case you get chilly, as well as outdoor fireplaces. Lori and Vince are such kind proprietors and make you feel at home, and their precious Javanese Penny is a sweetheart as well.
