Catfish Corner — Restaurant in San Angelo

Highly disappointed with this place. I used to enjoy eating here but in the past several months no longer enjoy going. Certain staff members just give the vibe that the customers are a bother or are just flat out rude. A group of 3 of us went for lunch. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and when they came out we did not get the ranch we asked for or the small plates. I asked our waitress if we could get ranch and plates and she just looked at me and kept walking. I got up and went to the entrance of the kitchen and asked another waitress for the items who then got them for me. As the end of our lunch hour was approaching we still did not have our lunch plates. I stopped our waitress and asked if we could get them to go because we only had about 10 minutes left for our lunch hour. About 5 minutes later she came back and handed us a ticket and I asked her if they were boxing up our orders. She said no not yet. I was trying to ask her how much longer she thought it would take but she just kept talking over me and trying to walk away. So needless to say we left without eating lunch and as we were getting in the car the lady that works the front came out yelling 'I have your food". We didn't have time to go back in and stand in line to pay for our food seeing as how we only had 3 minutes to get back to work. 3 other tables that were sitting in our waitresses section also got up and left without eating...

We went on a Wednesday night, which is all-you-can-eat catfish night. We asked our waitress what was the difference between all you can eat and the five piece catfish dinner. She told us the main difference is you can’t take any home if you don’t eat at all. And that was it. So we ordered the all you can eat just for fun. 10 minutes later, we got our food and another server came and pushed all the tables aside in the section right next to us and started mopping with a heavy lemon-ammonia cleaner. We told our waitress that the smell was really spoiling the taste of our food because all we could smell with the ammonia cleaner. She said, “oh I’m sorry” and the server kept mopping. So by this point we have decided we had a rude server and her tip was getting smaller by the minute. After we ate we asked for checks, and when she returned she said she had made a mistake and added the wrong thing on a person’s ticket. She told us that she couldn’t change it and we hoped we were OK with it lol. And then upon looking at our totals we realized that the cash price was cheaper. Apparently you have to pay more to make up the difference for a credit card! I have seen a few people do that but not at a restaurant. Anyway our fish was good And we didn’t need a second helping. I Tried to eat here today, thought I would try something different and "different" it was. First off the hostess basically rolled her eyes as soon as my wife and I walked in, I get it you were busy. Let that slide. We were seated and then a as some time elapsed we began to think we had been forgotten. I had to basically flag what I thought was a waitress down, Ashley who smelled like an astray, I do believe her name was, and in that moment she made us feel as if we were intruding, and she was a little condescending, but again it was busy. As the meal went on I have never in my life felt like an outsider more than I did here. The food wasn't good, in fact it was quite bad and niether my wife nor I could finish but a couple bites and that was for appearance. 20 min go by since we got our so called food and I'm asking for the check and out of there quick fast and and in a hurry, so it betrothed me as why this place is busy and from what I can figure is it's a hang out for seniors, and we weren't part of there "it" crowd....
