Hot Wok Chinese Food — Restaurant in San Anselmo

Hot Wok is the real deal. Not a huge menu, but everything they make is on point. Orange chicken is a favorite. Their eggplant dish is excellent, as is their spicy green beans with chicken.

I lived close to the restaurant for a few years, and always experienced consistently great food and great service. This is a multi-generation family business, and has been a part of the community for a long time.

Their prices are fair, their portions are HUGE, and they do not use MSG!

Oh, they recently raised their prices towards the end of Covid, but even then, they announced it and it was only like $1-$2 per dish. Good people running a good business.

The best Chinese take out in the area. Great food, great portions, owner has worked there a long time and always treats her customers well. It is a steam table restaurant, so not a fancy/sit down atmosphere, but the food is consistently delicious and the service is very fast. My personal favorites are the fried rice, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork, however everything I have tried on the menu has been good.
