The Hub — Restaurant in San Anselmo

i’m a local, live in West Marin, I go to the hub often,( once a month ) I have over looked bad customer and poor food, because I want to support local businesses, tonight I was unable to get home in time for dinner because I had to work, so I picked up dinner on my way home, when I got there after a long day, I was greeted with hostility, I asked for napkins to put on the fries that were sitting in the cold because they have no covers for them, I was look down upon for that, when I got home, I then realized That asking for no Pepper on your Bacon burger means that you get two Pieces of bacon, cheese and a Raw hamburger patty on a crusty bun, my wife salad was wrong, my daughters hamburger was raw, and most of all we could not eat, I ended up having tI go to another restaurant to get dinner, if anyone wants to see the picture and videos please feel free to comment and I will show you( Also, I tried talking to about this And was blown off) I’m Not saying it’s a horrible business, I’m just saying I’ve had four or five...

I appreciate that they have one veggie burger on the menu, however it has been different every time I have ordered it. To be simple and easy on the restaurant, I just order the one veg burger on their menu, which is supposed to come with specific toppings. They have been different every time, which concerns me because I don't want to inadvertently get something that is not vegan. Also, my partner, who is not veg, has gotten burgers with NO meat, chicken, or protein in it. They just gave him lettuce and tomatoes, even though he paid for and has a receipt for a chicken burger. Their fries are really good, IF they are hot and fresh. Otherwise, they are a clump of goo. It might be better to go there in person, but over the dozen times we have ordered from there during the pandemic, our order was correct maybe twice, so something is up. It's also pricy! $$$$ 40 for two burgers, no fries, no drinks. Just to be clear, we order directly from the restaurant and drive there to pick it up. Our latest order was today and there was no chicken...

Landing here at lunch time after weighing my dog at Pet Food Express, I thought the idea of this normally out-of-budget dog cafe lunch was worthy this once. I loved that quinoa veggie burger and like those “hand cut” fries almost as much for thinness and leaving the skins on. Service was A-ok. That all makes a 4-star. However, I seriously must ding TWO STARS OFF for not having the umbrellas up on this strong sunny day and that poor waiter being mandated to refuse to let me open one myself telling me the excuse “ wind is too strong today.” Excuse me, the sun was strong, and those bright colored umbrellas are ADVERTISING shade that my dog and I were practically denied. The waiter scrambled to give me a tall table with tree shade that put me in a distant height to disappoint my dog even though my BLACK DOG did get some shade. I saw a dog cafe with beautiful umbrellas on this sunny day. That is false advertising. By the way, having worked many years as a mover the umbrella bases...
