We took our three and five year old daughters here for the first time. The food was not good. It was greasy and very bland. The onion rings were so greasy I didn't even eat them. When we finally got our food it wasn't even warm. The tables outside still had leftover food and trash from the previous people that sat there. Ours had a empty beer pitcher that my three year old immediately grabbed. The table was so wobbly we could barely eat without everything shaking and spilling over. When our kids finally went to play in the grass area, the older kids were running around and being so rough that my youngest got ran into. There was also a group of older girls about ten years old or so that literally followed my three year old around to steal the ball that she was playing with. The parents just laughed and the other mom held onto the ball the rest of the time so it couldn't be shared. I also didn't like the fact that trash was piled up along the fence line for the kids to just pick up. And the end of the play area that is downhill is way too far away from the seating that I couldn't even see my kids when they went that far. Why they didn't make it all one level I'll never know, but that was bad development in my opinion. Overall I definitely would not go back there. Not worth the price for terrible food and a dangerous environment...
Read moreAfter church a buddy and I wanted burgers for lunch. We had been to Big'z Burger Joint many times over the years and always had a good experience . They even ask how thoroughly you want yours cooked. I ordered mine Medium, but next time I will ask for Medium Well.
They advertise their single to be a half pound so I considered that sufficient. They also offer a double for those more adventurous souls. They offer it as a combo meal with a soft drink small fry for $3.99. Since a drink by itself is $2.99 the combo is a value. I ordered my burger with optional Swiss cheese ($1.29), optional beer-braised onions ($0.99), and optional sauteed mushrooms ($1.79). Altogether the total was $17.92 including $1.37 taxes.
The burger and bun were so big that I cut mine into quarters. Eating this way eliminated me getting messy. The burger was very tasty. The fries were hot and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. They also offered Hunt's all natural ketchup, which I prefer over Heinz.
They have plenty of seats available with plenty of long tables. Ideal for large gatherings. They provide ketchup, mustard and a roll of paper towels at each table and have a floating busboy always ready to take away the dirty trays and waste.
My buddy and I each had a satisfying meal. Big'z...
Read moreWent into this place without any expectations. The outside looks phenomenal. Lots to do if you are a family. Now, onto the food. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with lettuce cooked to medium. After 20 minutes during a somewhat busy time they called my name and left you to guess which order is yours. I asked which one was mine "um I don't know I think this one but they're all the same so its okay". "My burger" came out well done. Putting that aside, I didn't realize how big this burger was going to be! It was humungous! It looked really good, but when I took a bite, there was so much juice and oil (greasiness) but absolutley no flavor. Fries were the same way, no flavor or salt anything (salt and pepper are available on the table though). Less than halfway through my drink was empty so I got up to go fill it. I was gone a maximum of 30 seconds. By the time I got back my entire tray was gone. One of the staff cleaning had thought that I left and threw out all my food. I asked if there was a way I could get my order remade since it was thrown out. Told me she'd get the manager. Waited 10 minutes she came back said I can't find them. At this point I just said nevermind and left. This place is worth trying once but not more than that. Burgers are pricey. Staff is...
