I have been coming to the Starbucks for nearly 4 years. In earlier years, I came almost every day, now I come a couple of times a week. I come because it is near my house, but honestly, it leaves me deflated. Despite coming in often, they very clearly do not know my name. Once, I even had a barista ask me my name when I picked up my order, when I had seen him nearly every day for months. The staff rarely even give me eye contact when I come into the store. It is honestly a very cold experience.
I realize this Starbucks is very busy, but this is extremely uncommon for this company. I have moved several times in my life, and have always had a home Starbucks, and this is the first Starbucks that has not taken the time to even try to know my name. Sometimes even when I travel somewhere for a week, the barista knows my name within three or four days. I know that barista’s are often overworked and underpaid, and so maybe it seems silly to be affected when they do not bother to go through the motions of greeting someone they see often, and I definitely do not want people to be friendly and happy to see me because they’re forced to. But after 4 years, it genuinely makes me sad. I am always happy to greet barista with a smile, and I know many of their names simply by virtue of paying attention to their name tags. I really wish the baristas at this Starbucks branch would...
Read moreI always have such a great experience at this Starbucks! The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and efficient — even during the busiest times, my order is made quickly and with care. Their drinks are always spot-on (I especially love the seasonal menu items and how customizable everything is), and the food options are fresh and convenient for busy mornings.
One of my favorite touches is how the baristas sometimes leave little notes on the cups — it’s such a kind, personal gesture that brightens my day and shows how much they value their customers.
A special shoutout to Shane, the store manager —he goes above and beyond to make sure the store runs smoothly and customers feel taken care of. His leadership and positivity really shine through in the atmosphere, and it makes such a difference.
The space itself is always clean, comfortable, and inviting — perfect for grabbing a coffee on the go or sitting down to get some work done. Plus, the mobile ordering option makes everything super convenient.
Overall, this Starbucks delivers quality, consistency, and comfort every single time....
Read moreI wanted to pass along a note of gratitude and praise for Andy, who works at the Huebner/1604 location in San Antonio. I've been faithfully going through the drive-thru at this location since it opened & Andy really does make a difference. He's one of the friendliest people I've met. He doesn't know this, but I was really going through one of the toughest times in my life & his smile every day was a bright spot for me, & sometimes the only good thing about my day. There are many other locations closer to work & school, but my family always goes to the Huebner location hoping to see Andy & his bright smile. Often times when I take the Starbucks survey I can't answer positively that anyone tries to "get to know us." In this case,I can honestly say YES! He knows my voice in the drive-thru order-thingy & he always remembers our order. There are many quality coffee options today, but I'm loyal to the Huebner Starbucks. Thanks, Andy!!! - From the Tiscani's (Dedie in the red jeep with the sticker that says, "I Drive...
