Burger Boy — Restaurant in San Antonio

#Over Rated. Not worth the hype.

I went to this this Burger Boy around 7:50PM. I waited in line for about 26 mins before my order was placed at 8:16PM. I ordered a working man meal with cheese and no onion.

The Lady at the Drive Thru was friendly and helpful with taking the order and making recommendations from the menu. After I ordered I waited another 15 mins before I recieved it at 8:30PM.

When I recieved my order the fries were fresh but the burger was unappetizing. The burger was smashed and they also added onions when I asked for no onions. The burger was hot and tasted as it was cooked recently. Also, the burger tasted like a Sonic burger. I would have rated this a one star but because of the friendly service I have rated it two stars.

Lastly, if you decide to go be sure to check your burger to ensure they got the order right and be prepared to wait long as their speed of service is very slow.

Overall Assessment:

This Burger Boy was not worth the hype. Speed of Service is to slow for the drive thru and they dont pay attention to the small details.

I would not recommend it to anyone if your in a rush. Lastly, the Burger is not worth the price.

This was my mother in law’s first time at a Burger Boy and we were a party of 6. When we arrived the restaurant was very clean and the cashier was very welcoming . Even with our large order and the add ons the cashier didn’t seem flustered at all and was polite. Our large order including three shakes and an order of loaded fries took around 15 -20 minutes top. The cheese on our working man burgers was beautifully melted and the meat was cooked perfectly. Whatever seasoning they use definitely works. Even the French fries came out hot, crispy and not overly greasy. The shakes were the cherry on top of this delicious meal . If you’re an Oreo fans the Oreo shake will not disappoint. The Orange Creamsicle shake was , in the words of my mother in law, exactly what a shake is supposed to taste like. I even went up to a male cashier to inquire about the Buenelo shake I had heard about and he said it wasn’t a menu item but that he could make it . If you’ve ever wanted a Buenelo with ice cream but still want the cinnamon crunchiness, this shake is a MUST ! I really hope they bring the shake on as a permanent menu item . My family will definitely be returning to this...

Burger Boy is honestly the GOAT of burger places! Their burgers are actually HOT and the fries will burn your mouth! GOOD, They actually stay hot until I get home!!!

Their burgers are even better than most Whataburgers around here and are REAL fast food diner style burgers!

This was the first Burger Boy I went to and easily, the only thing that beat it was the original burger boy on St. Mary's street! I honestly only come here every once in a while because it's like a treat, I dont wanna get sick it it, lol

To compare: I'd say McDonald's: 1/10 Wendy's: 4/10 In-N-Out: 5.5/10 Five Guys: 7/10 Burger Boy 9.5/10
