I just had to leave a review for Gabriella, the server who made my experience at Camp so unforgettable. As someone who's a bit shy and gets anxious in social settings, especially in bars, I usually avoid going out. But from the moment I walked in, Gabriella made me feel so welcome and at ease. She was incredibly attentive, but in a way that felt natural, not forced. She was always there when I needed her and went out of her way to recommend me a drink from the menu“Glamper”excellent recommendation very tailored to what I had asked, I also loved that she did not hover, she had a great balance of attentiveness and chill. Her warmth and genuine friendliness helped me shake off my nerves and really enjoy my time. It’s rare to come across someone who can make such an impact on your experience like she did for me. Thanks to her, I left with a huge smile on my face and felt encouraged to come back. I've even brought a few friends along since then, knowing they’d have the same wonderful experience. Gabriella truly made me feel like I was part of something special, and I can’t thank her enough for that. I'll definitely be back, and I recommend anyone to visit for the same heartwarming service! P.S the 5 stars are SOLELY for Gabriella’s service!!!! If I had to rate the venue I’d say a 3, the games outside are always damaged or simply incomplete, I’d recommend for better upkeep on managements end. P.S.S those asada fries are BIG and worth...
Read moreIt’s a really nice outdoor venue that doesn’t get too crowded. They have a food truck in the back, and they have a good variety of backyard games (ping pong, corn hole, etc.). It’s really a fun place, and totally a guy place. I love the atmosphere.
They have about 18 beers on tap, but I wasn’t impressed with the selection. They also have a full bar – liquor, etc.
Something is going on with their draft beer, so I'm only giving them 2 stars. Every time they would pour a beer, it would have a lot of foam, and then it would disappear really quick. It was very strange; even the bartender commented on it. I had three different beers and each one of them were flat. I could see plenty of bubbles, but they tasted flat or watered down. I think they are having some sort of problem with their lines between the keg and the tap – maybe they are partially clogged or something. I mentioned it to the bartender, but they never looked into it. My advice is, if you get a flat or weak tasting beer, don’t keep trying others. They are all going to be the same.
During happy hour, you can get a 20-ounce mug of draft beer for the same price as a pint. Prices vary between $6 and $7.50, depending on the beer you select. A bottle of Shiner Bock is $5.50 – ouch! Also, there is a 3% charge for using a credit card!!! There goes my...
Read moreI saw this place advertised as a "massive beer garden". It's neither of these. The Block near UTSA is far bigger than this place. It's the average size of a bar with a few more picnic tables placed outside. It's also not a beer garden. If you're looking for good craft beer, don't even bother. This is a bar, and their display shows it. The taps are tucked away to the bottom right like some after thought. They have the typical bar beer for serving (Modelo, Bud Light, etc.) with a few actual craft beers. I'm sure some of their kegs have been sitting back there for a while because what I got served was flat. The music is almost comically loud, at one point they had about three different songs playing at the same time. I saw a few couples walk out from their dates while I was there because of how chaotic it sounded. The games they have available are definitely going to be a liability at some point if they have a full bar and allow children to be there.
I understand the place is brand new and still trying to get it together but..wow. At some point I'll go back and give this place another shot but for now I'm staying away. They appear to be suffering from an identity crisis. This is not a massive beer garden....it's just a new chic bar with some...
