Disappointing Experience Despite Kind Staff – Not Worth the Money I really wanted to love our experience here, especially since it was a special occasion: my twins' birthday. While the front staff and instructor were friendly, the overall experience felt like a well-packaged rip-off that lacked any real regard for the kids or the families shelling out a significant amount of money for a very short, impersonal experience.
First, the most disheartening part — despite mentioning multiple times that it was my twins' actual birthday, the instructor gave all the attention and acknowledgement to a little girl from another party. My twins were left wondering why they didn’t matter, and at 11 years old, it was genuinely hurtful for them. It wasn’t about cake or party extras — just basic recognition, which never came, even after my clear reminders.
The pre-flight “training” was barely effective. The room was chaotic, with one extremely disruptive child yelling throughout, making it nearly impossible for the other kids to focus or even hear the instructor properly. There was little to no effort made to manage the situation or ensure that all kids felt prepared and comfortable.
Then comes the actual flight time — advertised as a full minute, but in reality it felt significantly shorter. Even worse, it barely scratched the surface of what indoor skydiving is supposed to be. The highly promoted $20 “high flight” extra? Total waste. It didn’t take the kids anywhere near the top, just a halfway lift that felt more like a gimmick than an upgrade.
To end things off, the instructor did a brief interactive moment with the kids — but once again, completely skipped over my son and his friend, focusing only on the group of girls on the other side of the tunnel. It was as if they weren’t even there, which I found especially troubling considering it happened repeatedly throughout the session. I have the entire visit on video, so I know it wasn’t just my perception.
Speaking of “video”…I also payed the $25 to capture my babies and their friend experiences. I am being totally 100% transparent with you, because like others have said, they really stress you writing them a review! The photos and videos they provided were not clear. If I showed you a side by side of my iPhone and what I paid for, their is no way you would give them the extra $25.
And while we are on the topic of extra money, I do not recall my first visit, at another location, ever soliciting tips. Yet, this place, at least our instructor, did. And if you’re wondering if we gave him one, yes, we gave him a generous tip. Why? You ask~ for the same reason we did not want to say anything about our dissatisfaction in our services — We were the only people of color and did not want to be labeled as “the problem”.
As mentioned, this wasn't my first time visiting this franchise, but it was my first — and last — time at this location. If you're thinking about bringing your child here for a birthday or any special moment, think twice. For the price, the time, and the emotional impact on my kids, it was simply...

This was my very first time visiting iFLY San Antonio, and from start to finish it was an absolutely incredible experience that I will never forget. I’ll be honest — walking in, I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure what to expect. But as soon as I checked in, the staff and instructors immediately put me at ease. Everyone here is extremely professional, friendly, and genuinely excited to make sure you have a great time.
The instructors are certified skydivers, and you can tell they know their craft inside and out. They patiently explain every step of the process, from check-in to gearing up, so you never feel lost or unsure. They go over all the safety rules, teach you simple hand signals for communication inside the wind tunnel, and make sure you are completely comfortable before you take flight. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and their attention to detail really makes you feel like you’re in great hands.
The whole setup inside is super impressive. You start by getting your flight suit, helmet, earplugs, and goggles — all provided to you so you’re fully prepared. After the briefing, you step into the massive vertical wind tunnel, which is the heart of the iFLY experience. It looks futuristic, with powerful fans creating a smooth, controlled column of air that simulates the sensation of freefall. The first time you lift off your feet and float on the air, it’s both surreal and exhilarating. It truly feels like flying.
The instructors stay right there with you inside the tunnel, helping you adjust your body position so you can balance, spin, rise, and fall. Even as a beginner, they make sure you get to feel the thrill of flying without ever feeling unsafe. It’s an amazing combination of adrenaline and pure fun, and the instructors cheer you on the whole way.
What also makes iFLY San Antonio stand out is the convenience of the location. It’s right off 1604, located next to Topgolf and surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, making it a perfect stop whether you’re planning a day out with friends, celebrating a birthday, or just trying something new. The facility itself is clean, modern, and designed to make the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
This isn’t just a quick thrill ride — it’s an experience that leaves you with unforgettable memories. I walked away not only feeling accomplished but already excited to come back and try it again. For families, friends, or even team-building events, iFLY is such a unique option that everyone can enjoy regardless of age or experience level.
If you’ve ever wondered what skydiving feels like but aren’t quite ready to jump out of an airplane, iFLY is the perfect solution. You get the thrill, the rush, and the fun of flying in a completely safe and controlled environment. The combination of world-class instructors, friendly staff, and state-of-the-art facilities make this a must-try experience in San Antonio.
I can’t recommend it highly enough — five stars, without hesitation. I’ll definitely be back for...
Read more-SEVERELY Disappointed- We spent a $130 for this; Let’s start from the time the two of us walked in the door. We walk in at 3:55 (reservation at 4:00), fill out our paperwork, and are told we will have a little training time at 4:15. At 4:27, we are finally approached to begin the instructional. Our instructor had a quippy attitude. He took us to the instruction room, flipped on a video, and left us to guess our way through the learning we needed to be successful. He pops his head in at the end, doesn’t ask us if we have questions or help us in any way, and throws us our gear to put on. We’re seated inside the machine, hoping for some clear guidance before using up our 2 MINUTES of ride time (remember we paid $130 for this), but yet again no help was given. Once inside the wind tunnel, we were too confused trying to understand how he wanted us to posterize to enjoy any of the experience. After our two minute flights each, he spent a full 60 seconds ($33 worth of time) just flipping and twisting around in the tunnel while we sat and waited for him like he was a little kid at bounce house and like we hadn’t just spent over one hundred dollars. We didn’t pay to see him have fun while we sat outside. Once he finished, he came up to us and told us how we should have flown differently to get more air. To top it all off, he took us over to get the photos taken during our flights (an extra $25), he hopped on top of the counter and asked that we tip him and leave a good review. Unbelievable. His arrogant attitude and unhelpful behavior leads us to believer that this company doesn’t care about their customers and delivering on the experience they promised. PLEASE do not waste your...
