After not being to Topgolf since 04/2019, I finally swung by with family on Sunday afternoon. We were not able to make reservations in advance, and arrived around 1pm so needless to say, they were quite busy. We were told there would be an hour to hour & a half wait which was perfect because we needed to go grab a bite to eat. We received a text about an hour later which is your 15 minute warning to get back over there if you want to keep your reservation. I did notice that at this point, the sign said there was a three hour wait which we definitely would not have stuck around for. We got settled and our server, Stefani, came by to take our order. I want to just take a moment to thank Stefani for being an absolute wonderful server. She was friendly and attentive to our needs and made my younger sister the most delicious virgin martinis (strawberry or mango options - both were very tasty!) which we definitely appreciated. When her shift ended, she took the time to introduce us to our new server, Gibby, and fill him in on what we were drinking. Gibby was also very friendly and on top of all of our needs and the combination of both their phenomenal customer service throughout our entire visit truly made the experience wonderful. The game itself is an absolute delight despite none of us being any good (hard truth). They added a new Angry Birds game mode which gives those challenged at golf like my sister & I a chance to actually compete, ha! I appreciated the covid protective screens between each bay and have to say this is the first place I've been to in a while that made me forget all about the pandemic and allowed for us to just enjoy being out again. Looking forward to coming back!

I would have given them one or two stars if we didn't have as much fun as we had. Let me break it down for you (since it wasn't for me). If you plan on eating in the bar area before you head to the bays, be aware that there is no table service. We sat there for a while (only a few yards from the bar staff) and then realized you have to walk up to the bar to order food. No problem after we figured it out. The food was brought to the table and was literally dropped off with no interaction at all. Food was just "meh" (but expensive for what it was). Fries were VERY bland, burger was nothing special at all. Now it's time to hit the driving range - where do we go to get started? With no guidance at all, we found our way to the service counter on the first floor where we were asked "have you been here before?" My answer was "no" so I was expecting a description of what to do and where to go. Instead, I was told, "you have bay 231, take the elevator and then turn left." We got to the bay and it was confusing. I didn't know if I had to select the number of players and hours ahead of time, swipe my card or what. Luckily, our bay attendant showed up and explained it all to us. That's when I discovered that we could have had food, drinks, etc. delivered to the bay instead of the subpar experience we had downstairs. The bottom line is, we had LOT's of fun once everything got started, but it was confusing as a first time customer since no one explained things to us.

Been here a hundred times, but deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your San Antonio, Texas facility on 9/14/24. As a loyal customer and someone who enjoys frequenting Topgolf, I am appalled at the level of service and the lack of professionalism exhibited during my recent visit. From the moment I arrived, I encountered several issues that significantly detracted from what should have been a fun and enjoyable time with me and my family. These include, but are not limited to: 1. RESERVATION: Received a text on my phone asking me to check in. 2 minutes later I received the same message as if I was not responding quick enough - I was attempting to park. This was approximately 15-20 minutes prior to my reservation time. I was excited to think we could get in early. The venue was packed, and many were leaving due to the reservations being filled (I assume). The front desk however, had only 1 person attending to check ins. 2. CHECK IN: Short staffed again. Top level of the facility had at least 4 or 5 bays empty (that I could see from the doorway). I checked in and was told to wait for the bay to pop up on my cell phone. This did not happen until my reservation time of 7:15 PM, which was my reservation time, BUT the text I mentioned above made it seem that I was being expected to be on site 15-20 minutes early and still waited. The bay I received was downstairs, which was fine, but I decided to wait in line for approximately 10 more minutes (due to the short staffed front desk) and asked to move to a bay upstairs that was empty. The young man went into a room, I assume to ask the manager, returned and said that the bay downstairs was all that was available. I am not sure how, when again, the bays I could see upstairs were empty. 3. BAY 130: This is the bay we were assigned. I did not make a big deal out of being downstairs and reported to the bay downstairs on the first level. Which I was told was taking a minute due to cleaning. When I arrived at the bay and began check in, the timer on the computer system was already ten minutes into my countdown time. The table was sticky and messy. Ranch was covering the bottom of the menu and got all over my hand. 4. SERVICE: The waitress was kind but unresponsive. She was taking care of 2 tables when we arrived and 3 by the time we left (2-hour reservation). She did not come around for us to order food until we had only 45 minutes left to play. We ran out of drinks often and waited for long periods between those refills. Again, the waitress was kind but for that money spent at your establishment, it is unsatisfactory. The food was fine. At close to the end of time we had left, the waitress interrupted our game to log out of the system (not extend time, from what I could see). I understand this, but it interrupted what we were doing in order to do so, and it seemed rude and as if she was rushing us out. 5. I would appreciate a response. I spent $217.00 (without the tip included) to spend 2 hours playing and eating/drinking at the San Antonio facility. That is a decent amount of money for a visit that I am not likely to do again in the future. All of these issues combined to create a thoroughly unpleasant experience that falls far below the standards I expect from Topgolf. What’s more disappointing is the lack of urgency or care from your staff in addressing these problems when they were brought to their attention. I have always associated Topgolf with a high level of customer service and a fun atmosphere, but this recent experience has left me questioning whether I will continue to visit your locations. I strongly urge you to take immediate steps to address the problems at the San Antonio facility, as no customer should be subjected to the kind of poor service I...

I recently visited Topgolf San Antonio with high expectations for a fun evening, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.

Booking Process: We arrived at 6 PM and tried to make a reservation in person, only to be informed that reservations had to be made online. This policy wasn't communicated clearly on their website, which led to confusion. When I checked online, I discovered a $70 booking fee, which I found to be outrageously high. It felt like an unnecessary and excessive charge, especially considering the overall cost of the experience.

Wait Times: After being told there was a two-hour wait, we decided to leave and come back later. To our frustration, when we returned just 30 minutes later, we were informed that the wait time had increased to four hours. This inconsistency in wait times was incredibly disappointing and disrupted our plans for the evening. It seemed that the staff either did not have an accurate system for managing wait times or were overwhelmed by the volume of customers.

Customer Service: The staff, while polite, did not offer any solutions or alternatives to make the wait more bearable or to compensate for the inconvenience. Clearer communication and better management of wait times would greatly improve the customer experience.

Overall Experience: While Topgolf San Antonio has the potential to offer a fun and enjoyable outing, the issues with the booking process and the erratic wait times significantly detract from the experience. The high booking fee adds to the frustration and makes it feel like the company is more interested in maximizing profits than ensuring a smooth and pleasant visit for their customers.

Recommendation: If you plan to visit Topgolf San Antonio, I highly recommend making a reservation well in advance online, despite the steep booking fee, to avoid the long and unpredictable wait times. However, be prepared for potential frustration and plan...
