We visited andrettis 3/28 5 people all here for the first time! Here is how it all went: As soon as we walked in the staff didnt the say anything about there being a waver we need to sign. I smiled and asked what to do since it was our first time but the man i asked just looked at another employee for her to do the explaining. After that we went to the counter after paying $250 for 5 people the employee lets us know that around 60% of the arcade machines didnt work!!! We had a small hand-full of the arcade that were working. It seemed that every single employee that we encountered had an attitude with ALL OF US. We played laser tag they explained the rules some of us asked questions and they quite literally made faces & acted annoyed as if we are asking something ludicrous! All we wanted to know if how to position the vest. We went to order a $75 tab of food and got the worst attitude from the lady at the counter. She was acting as if i was asking her to do the most strenuous task, then came another man to help with our drinks he was nicer but nothing to rave about. We then walked over to the bowling section (again our first time here no one asked if we needed help not once) and sat at an empty lane booth, we were rudely told by a lady with a cheek facial piercing that we were not allowed to sit there that it was reserved but in the nastiest tone! We followed her to the bowling booth and the audacity of her to ask “how can i help you?” Absolutely laughable but the kicker was that she places us right back to the booth we sat at to begin with. The last straw was the virtual reality game they had on the second floor the lady took about 10 minutes to set all the 3 players headsets on. then starts the game without doing 1 of the player’s headset only noticed after we told her something, as the game was about to begin they stopped it because there was a lot of static on the microphone for the helmets. At this point our time is running out so we asked the attendant if we could play another game then return would they honor the time we lost while they reset the game she walked over to what i assume is a manager & asked her our question. This other lady rudely replied with we could go play whatever we wanted & if we made it after our cut off time it was what it was. The whole experience with the staff was awful & completely uncomfortable. Do the employees get reprimanded for being nice? Are they trained to be professional pricks? Do they get commission for how many times they’re rude to paying customers? Make me understand truly. Everyone in our party has worked customer service/still do & we all agreed that we have never & could never be so impolite to anyone. Our group friendship is probably the only reason why we still had fun at this place who again had about 60% (im being generous with the percentage) of the arcade working & the most ill-mannered staff i have EVER MET!!! Do better dont let this go by because truly what is wrong...
Read moreThis place is an absolute joke. I came in expecting a fun night with my kids, but instead, I walked out stressed, angry, and completely disappointed. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business with the way it’s run.
Let’s start with the arcade system: You spend good money loading cards, only to find out you’re limited on how many swipes you can do per card. That’s ridiculous in itself, but it gets worse — the machines are broken or malfunctioning. You end up swiping your card multiple times just to get a game to even register, and when it finally does, the so-called “points” or “tickets” you win don’t even load onto your card properly. Imagine telling your kids they won something, only to realize the system stole it. Try explaining that to a child who was excited about redeeming their prizes.
Now, let’s talk about the staff. I’ve never encountered such sarcasm and bad attitudes from employees at a place that’s supposed to cater to families. Instead of helping, they act like you’re inconveniencing them by asking for assistance. When you bring up that the machines aren’t working or the tickets didn’t register, they brush you off or give you attitude like it’s your fault. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe it.
I came here with the promise of a fun family Friday night. I told my kids we’d have a blast, play games, win prizes, and make memories. Instead, I had to watch my children cry because their night was ruined. They didn’t get to enjoy themselves, and what should’ve been an amazing evening turned into one of the worst family nights ever. As a parent, there’s nothing worse than seeing the excitement and joy drained from your kids’ faces because of a place that simply doesn’t care about its customers.
And don’t even get me started on the prices. For what they charge, you’d think the games would work properly, the staff would at least pretend to care, and the whole experience would be worth it. Instead, it’s like throwing your money straight into the trash.
Bottom line: • Machines don’t work. • Tickets don’t load. • You’re limited on swipes for no reason. • Staff is rude and sarcastic. • Kids leave crying. • Parents leave frustrated and ripped off.
This place is not fun, not relaxing, and not worth a single dollar. I left more stressed than when I arrived. If you value your time, your money, and your family’s happiness, do not come here.
I will NEVER return. If I could give this place a zero, I would. Andretti’s is nothing but a disappointment and a...
Read moreNEVER RETURNING! My first visit to Andretti (on Sunday, January 26, around 4 PM) was a complete disappointment. I went with my mom, brother, and my mom’s friend and her child, expecting a fun experience. Initially, the door greeter was polite, which made me hopeful. Unfortunately, the rest of the visit was far from pleasant.
When it came time for the kids to go karting, the experience quickly soured. My mom and her friend, who are Mexican and speak English well, needed minor assistance with the registration process. I stepped in to translate, but one of the staff members—a young Asian woman—was dismissive and gave us condescending looks. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially since we’d already corrected a small mistake with the kids’ sign-ins.
The most disappointing moment came when we entered the helmet room. A young Caucasian staff member immediately gave off a rude, unwelcoming vibe. She stopped me in a harsh tone, saying, “It’s only one parent per kid,” which I understand is policy—but there’s no excuse for such an attitude, especially in a family-friendly establishment.
As someone with years of customer service experience, I understand the challenges of working in high-volume environments, but basic politeness isn’t hard. Andretti should ensure their employees treat everyone with respect and professionalism. Based on other reviews, it seems favoritism toward certain customers may be an issue. This is unacceptable, especially considering the diverse clientele that frequents an upscale area like The Rim and La Cantera.
Our family had the means and intention to enjoy our time and spend money, but instead, we left with a bad taste in our mouths. Andretti, if you want to retain customers, invest in better training for your staff. Everyone deserves equal treatment, regardless of...
