Fiancé & I went and both decided on burgers because t h ey looked good by t h e menu pictures, and the descriptions sounded yummy.
I chose Alex's Burger. The burger consisted of meat, lettuce, tomatoe, red onion, and guacamole. It was drizzled with a spicy sauce. It had a kick to it but was not overly spicy. It was served fries. The menu did not say seasoned fries, but I could see they had black pepper, and I could taste the were seasoned with more tgsb black pepper. I could not put my finger on the spices.
My Fiancé had the Old Timer burger, which consisted of lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and pickles. Ot skso cones with red onion and mustard. She cut those 2 items because she's not an onion fan or a big condiment fan. She prefers her dry.
The buns were lightly toasted. I mean, lightly toasted. Many places toast the bunS until they become brittle. These buns were perfect.
The burgers were nice sized, and the ingredients were not skimpy. The fries were plentiful.
I added a house salad that consisted of arugula, green leaf, and diced tomato. The house salad by itself is priced at $5. As an add-on, it's $4. Personally, the salad was tasty and light, but iceberg lettuce should be added to give it a little cruch. It had maybe 5 tiny croutons. The menu says the dressing is house made ranch. It was a little too thin to me.
We each had sweet tea. The bill came $49+. A 15% tip is approximately $7.50. The grand total to walk out the door, $56.50.
We had no appitizers. Appetizers were pricey. No place has inexpensive appetizers these days, but the prices seemed a bit pricer. The cheese Stix caught my eye ad being overpriced. I just don't feel comfortable paying double for what I can buy in the frozen aisle of a traditional grocery store and heat in the microwave, or mabey put in a toaster oven for 7 to 10 minutes.
Eating out is not cheap anywhere. I will say the burgers are not fast food comparable. The burgers are much higher quality, so you expect to pat a bit more.
I do know of a place that has comparable burgers, fries and the coldest ice cream shake in town that can be had for around $40 and no tip since you order at the counter and their is...
Read moreDo not even think about dining at this location of Chili's!!!!!
The reason I am giving this establishment a 1 star is because wait time was acceptable to get a table, the server was friendly, the food came out quickly and the order was correct. At this point, you are probably wondering why I am giving a 1 star. Well let me tell you the UGLY side of our night out at Chili's. When we were seated, we were given a QR code to scan to pull up the menu. Because we wear reading glasses, we asked for and were provided with a physical menu. On the menu there was a "3 for $10" deal so all 3 of us ordered that and pointed at the menu while doing so, indicating this is what we desired. When the bill arrived we were charged an amount in excess of the amount stated on the menu for each meal. When we pointed out the overcharges to the server, she indicated we would need to speak to the manager to address our concern. The manager, Ricardo Renteria, stated that the prices on the menu provided us were incorrect and flat out refused to honor the stated price. I have never been given a menu and then been told it will cost more than the menu price after the meal. With no other choice than to pay the overcharge, we did so on a credit card and will take the matter up with the bank. One other thing very much of note. I used the restrooms which are near the kitchen prior to leaving. On my way there I got a good view of the kitchen and it was extremely nasty (the floors covered with liquids and food). As we left the Chili's, I advised all the Saturday night customers waiting in line to view the kitchen before eating there so they could be forewarned. There are many better options in that area. You have been warned. If you choose to dine there, then I wish you luck in not getting cheated on you bill and on not getting ill from your meal! Just so you know, I do not usually write negative reviews. Please take time to view my...
Read moreI visited this restaurant during mid day to watch NFL Football and enjoy dining out with drinks. Unfortunately, the bartender (while I was sitting at the bar) rarely acknowledged me. I had to catch him with eye-to-eye contact to order. During the late afternoon I closed out my tab however; while trying to catch this particular bartender again it took 15 minutes to ask him if I can get another drink. He was working during this time and acknowledged with a nod with his head. Ten minutes passed and still no drink. I finally asked him if I can get another drink since I have been waiting 10 minutes. He then responded he didn’t hear me but when I asked for another drink he nodded his head. He then said I will NOT serve you again. I told him I wanted to see the manager. One manager and then the General Manager surrounded me making me feel uncomfortable. After explaining to both of them why haven’t I been served after 10 minutes sitting at the bar with only 2 other people they had no response. The manager said to me I was being aggressive. I responded it’s not being aggressive but pointing out the reason the bartender did NOT hear me is because he fails to stop what he is doing and give a customer full attention in what they are asking. Soon after that the General Manager told me to leave the restaurant.
Is this how you treat customers who spend a lot of money in this restaurant?
Why am I being asked to leave when the bartender gives me zero customer service yet he laughs and jokes with other regulars?
This is poor customer service especially being treated this way by the General Manager.
I have contacted Corporate on the website and will contact them tomorrow morning by phone and will ask corporate why are bartenders friendly to other customers and why Managers throw guests out....
You’ll be hearing from me tomorrow again - I promise you!!!!
1 Star for...
