The main problem here was customer service. We ordered 2 separate meals, a Fiesta Box and a 2 can Dine special using the website coupon. The employee taking the order didn't know what the Fiesta Box was, despite it being advertised on an entire front window, and being featured on the main sign with the removable lettering.
When I ordered the 2 Can Dine I asked for spicy chicken strips, but no spicy chicken was available. OK, understandable, it was 9pm, and they close at 10. So I took the regular strips instead and asked for honey for the biscuits..
When we arrived home, I discovered there were no biscuits in the 2 can dine meal, and that my regular strips (already not what I wanted) were semi soggy. My friend commented his Okra was one of the best items on his meal, a side he asked for as a substitution and ended up paying for as an additional item.
I filled out the customer survey on the Churches website, and a few days later received a phone call from the area manager. He apologized for the missing biscuits and the confusion while trying to order. To make up for the inconvenience I was offered 10% off my next visit. 10% on 2 meals that would have cost $15 had they got it right. Thats a $1.50 discount if we ordered the same thing again. I think the biscuits I was shorted would have cost $1.. When I acted unimpressed by the offer of 10% he upped it to 20%, again still not much of a discount. I explained I didn't live near the location, and his response to that was to leave the discount open for a month rather than a week, but he said that was about all he could do.
20% is fine, but I had a poor experience, not bad, but just not good, and what I was offered was the opportunity to come back and spend another $20 in order to receive a $4 discount. Almost the equivalent of telling a customer we'll do better next time.
Not sure I will even bother returning to use the discount. I wont be making a special trip...

Our surprise when we got home to find out this gentleman gave us 5 spicy pieces of chicken legs and 5 original pieces of thighs which didn't make us happy as he put in the box whatever he wanted. I called the next day to speak to a manager and ask for a refund a nice lady answered the phone and offered to do a remake instead I asked fir my refund since the previous night dinner was ruined so she mentioned she was unable to give me a refund but she first asked me who was the person that gave me the wrong order and she was surprised he said they were out of macaroni and cheese because she said they always have the macaroni also she asked me if i had his name or if I can describe him which i did she sounded surprised she told me he was the manager on that day July 27 2025 around 6:00p.m. after that gave me the name and phone number from the Marketing Leader by the name of Art Sanchez whom I've been calling and leaving voice mails and text messages with no luck. Read moreThe manager/supervisor has an attitude issue. I was asking about the posted special, and she answered with an attitude. The 10 piece family deal, as 10 pieces with two sides. It does not say the sides are only the classic sides. Even then, I am ok with that. She doesn't need to raise her voice.... maybe it's my sweater, which he doesn't like, and that I look like a Mexican bum on the street....
2nd edit... in car... Finally got my order, and I asked if I could get some barbecue sauce, and apparently, it's more additional cost. I paid $2 additional for getting mac n cheese and okra instead of fries or smash 5 now the manager wants an additional 25cent for each additional sauce. I am sorry, but the special post with the picture shows original chicken or tenders with two sides and 4 sauces. Nowhere on the post did it say additional for the side I choose or additional 25 cent for each sauce because I choose original instead of tenders for 19.99. This was one of the few times I had picked a family meal, and before, I never cared for the sauce and thought. I usually get church chicken 3-4 times a month. Besides these false adds and rude manager. This will be the last time I go to a church chicken restaurant.
