The cashier was extremely rude. To find out later that the cashier was also the owner. She has a bad attitude. I asked for a barbacoa plate which was not listed up on the board. It comes with potatoes and beans and two tortillas. And I ordered orange juice. I handed her a $20 bill and she returned 64 whole cents. The food is good but not extraordinary. It is nothing special. Why they feel that they have to charge so much I don't know. For that price it should have had some gold nuggets in it. I would return if that rude lady wasn't there. But unfortunately she's the owner. Ugly personality, ugly attitude. Who the hell would anyone want to come back to that? I've learned my lesson. Never again. This is the plate missing the gold nuggets. Don't be fooled. The BBQ was flattened out and spread to make it look like it was loaded. For that price I should have gotten a Lb of BBQ, a large avocado, a dozen tortillas and a FREAKING SMILE with a courteous attitude just like they do at Adelitas BBQ on Fresno st. I'll take the fall on this one. I've learned my lesson. Not like they will care if I come back or not. But I certainly will pass on the word. Prices too high. You have stand in line to order. Hmm... A Mexican restaurant with no service. If you're accustomed to that then by all means enjoy. But if you're not, stay away if you can help it. It's not all that.

I’ve been dying to hit this place and finally did in the drive thru today. Ordered 3 tacos: bean cheese and chorizo, carne guisada, and then a barbacoa taco. The first two tacos were great. The tortillas are good. The barbacoa left a lot to be desired. The barbacoa isn’t barbacoa, really. It’s more like a pot roast cooked in a crock pot or pressure cooker. AND it was $5.75 for one taco, which makes it the most expensive Barbacoa taco, and worst, that I’ve had in greater San Antonio. The portion size on the Barbacoa was average and certainly didn’t match the price. It was bland without much seasoning, no salt at all, and the meat was overcooked and chewy. I can’t believe they’re passing this off as Barbacoa. Now I’m headed to a different place to get a real Barbacoa taco. On a side note they don’t have tripas or carnitas there. I’ll pass on making another trip here. While I’m sure they have some great dishes, what I had wasn’t good enough to warrant more visits.

My friends and I were visiting San Antonio and searched for the best breakfast tacos in town, this place came up with great reviews. If you are in the same boat we were, maybe try some place else. The tortillas were great, the salsa was ok, and the churro donut was good. Everything else was super bland, no flavor, lacking ingredients one would normally expect in something like a migas or barbacoa taco. I got an egg, bean, and potato taco (asked for cheese but it wasn't in there) with a side of guac and none of those things had flavor! My friend got a migas taco and the migas were just eggs and chips, not a tomato, onion, seasoning, or sauce in sight. My friend's chorizo and barbacoa tacos looked like nearly identical mystery meats. The coffee was also flavorless All in all, we were all pretty disappointed, wishing we would have saved our hunger for a different taco place.

I want to share such an unpleasant experience at Taco. It was so bad it left me crying for how I was treated for no reason other than just trying to get my food right. I was not rude or mistreated anyone but in turn I was disrespected, maltreated, and discriminated. I called in an order of 8 tacos and a side of rice. The tacos were 2 bacon, egg, cheese, and beans, 4 egg tacos, 2 papas a la Mexicana with beans (but with corn tortillas). The lady asked the 2 papas a la Mexicana are the only ones on corn tortillas? I said yes. Went through the drive thru and I picked up my tacos and went about my way until I was going to get ready to eat them that I noticed they had egg in my tacos. I immediately called to let them know about my incorrect order. I mentioned my order was $27.17 for all of food so they can find it. I told them I did not want egg and they said they would remake it. Since I do not eat egg, I wanted to get my order replaced. I told the lady I was here to pick up my order that was incorrectly done and then another lady came by and was asking what I needed. I repeated what I had just said. She started ringing up for payment due and I told her I already paid for this and that I was just picking up a corrected order. I then provided her my 2 receipts they gave me to try to give them some reference. This whole time she had a frown, “flustered” and arrogant attitude. Then the lady left the window and a few minutes later the same lady came and gave me my tacos in a bag. I just happened to ask if they made it correctly like my original order and she right away screamed at the cook again asking her about the order and closed the window. Then she came back again with the bag with 2 tacos. I checked again inside the tacos and noticed there were flour tortillas. I pulled up to the window to let them know about the tortillas. The lady who tried to ring me up came walking from the back to the window. She right away said, “That’s it, I’ll just return your money back.” I told her I want my food I just want it the way I originally ordered. The same lady from the window giving me my food was there and she just made a “sorry” look like she could not do anything about it. I asked her, “is she really acting this way,” while the “manager” was ringing up my total to return and talking under her breath where I couldn’t make it out. I asked them if I can get my receipts back and I heard loudly behind the window that she had given it back and I told them I didn’t get them back. At that point, I’m asking are you the manager or owner? What is your name? She is ignoring me completely and I am pleading to her that I just want my food. She gives me my money and says, “Here you go, thanks” and closes the window. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I did cry as it did upset me that someone could take that stance not having any compassion or feeling towards their customers on why we go to their restaurants in the first place. I looked up the owners and did pinpoint that the lady who returned me the money owns it and runs it with her son as a family-owned business passed down from generations. I would expect that they would have more care about their food, customers and most important, about principle and integrity. How did they take my money for all the other 6 tacos and side of rice but decided to give me my money back on 2 tacos after I had already paid them $27.17 for the order just because they felt so disturbed, I was trying to get my food right? I have spent this time to tell my story for justice of the people that may come after me. Based on what I shared today, I strongly believe that I was disrespected, maltreated, and discriminated and do not want anyone to have to go through this. I give it the...

Party of 3 dine in, ordered menudo, Carne guisada plate, and 3 breakfast tacos, and 3 drinks. Didn't count on the tortillas tasting good that my 66 year old senior mother expressed that she would like to eat one more tortilla because they tasted delicious. Due to me still eating my food, my mother went to try to order the tortilla and Hispanic lady at the register rudely raised her voice screaming at my mother to get back in the line to which she did and a kind customer let her go before him. So another employee had kindly warmed a tortilla and handed to my mother while she still waited in the line to pay, register lady comes to them and snatches the tortilla out of their hands and slams it on the ground by the time my mother is already at the register the register lady who had just slammed the tortilla on the floor went behind the register to then start screaming at my mother that she cannot go there and that she can't buy the tortilla and grabbed her money and tossed it towards her and it landed on the floor and while she's doing all those gestures and screaming foul language in Spanish, everyone in the restaurant had turned to look at what was going on and saw how the register lady treated my mother rudely and still yelling how my mother needs to get out of the restaurant and she won't sell her the tortilla and my mother had said how she shouldn't be treating customers that way and if she was the manager and the register lady had said I don't have to serve you and points at a sign raising her voice "can't you read?" To which my mother once again said she shouldn't treat customers this way. We had never been treated like this before and of course we left. Whether because she was overwhelmed by the line or had a bad day, she should not have overreacted like this over a tortilla that was still going to be paid for and that another employee had brought to her while she waited to pay. We have been long time customers but after this I don't think we will be coming here...
