Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in San Antonio

My wife and I are lucky enough to visit this Dutch every morning when we get out of the gym. When it comes to coffee shops having diet friendly items, Dutch Bros literally sets the standard. But what keeps us coming back is the employees from the bottom all the way to the top. Every employee is super engaging and from reading others reviews I understand that it may take some time, but there’s not a single employee in that building that doesn’t know me by name and that doesn’t take the time to truly ask about how I’m doing. I’ve been lucky enough to even meet the operations team of that store and by talking with her you truly understand that she believes in having a solid team that not only wants to be successful in the task they are performing, but also spread the idea of Dutch love and care for every person who comes through that Store. Overall, this may not be the best Dutch Bros to go to if you’re on a time crunch, but that doesn’t take away from how solid the team is. In a world in time where people don’t take the time to get to know one another or care about one another this store reminds me that there are still people who are willing to take the time and care for the every day person. They don’t push anything but love and positivity, and that is truly hard to find these days. Overall, I recommend this Dutch Bros to anybody who’s looking to build a day-to-day positive friendly relationship. I came through the drive though one cold morning to get myself a coffee. I pulled up to the window and requested a black coffee. The employee looked confused. “Black coffee”? He asked. I replied, “yes please”. He stated that they do not serve coffee. I looked at the sign again to make sure it read “Dutch Bros coffee” like I thought it did and it did! So I stated okay “Dutch Bros coffee doesn’t serve coffee, thank you”! And I left. Also I have a relative who collects fiesta medals and had been looking for a Dutch Bros who has some left. I offered to call the location near me (Guilbeau) and find out if they have any left. All I could find was an 800’ number. I called it and had to listen to the options while loud R&B was played while the voice paused between options so that callers can listen to the music. I can’t think of anything more trashy. Turns out the locations don’t even have direct phone numbers. If I could give them zero...

I removed my five star review for this location for one reason only. Waited 15 to 20 min for a coffee. Yes, just one.

Why? I pulled into the 1st line, cars pulled in after me in the 2nd line and cut everyone before them off as the line proceeded every other one. This is not optimal for anyone to cut in line and it took what is typically a 5-minute wait to be 15 to 20 minutes.

I really think they need to reconsider adopting a method where they ring your order and tell people in either line what car to follow.

I was not happy, my coffee was not made correctly and had to wait or take what they had. Already late for an appt across the street...I just left with the wrong coffee in hand.
