First noticed them when i wondered "why is the parking lot so fullđ¤ and saw restaurant and figured i will check it out after i get my teeth cleanedđnothing outstanding about it but when i went in i judged đbut decided to give the food a try because it was very clean and the peole ,so nice and kind hearted. After i ate WOW delicious i have tried other places only to be upset. nobody makes migas the way they do!!!! I dont know how long they were there before i noticed but i have been going to Dr Coverts dentist office for the last 20 years and i am happy that i decided to try. Weâve been loyal customers of El Buen Gusto for years, and it truly breaks my heart to say this, but our last visit was a complete disaster. Since the change in ownership and management, everything we loved about this placeâespecially the amazing chilaquiles and great serviceâhas disappeared.
On our recent visit, we waited over 30 minutes just for someone to take our order, and the food took even longer to arrive. During that time, we witnessed three separate tables walk out due to the lack of service and disorganization. There were only 8 customers in the restaurant, so itâs not like it was overwhelmingâit was simply poor management.
The new owner (a woman who seems to be in charge) had a noticeably bad attitude, even getting upset when we politely asked for a coffee refill. Itâs clear that hospitality and customer service are not a priority under the new leadership.
I genuinely donât understand why someone would take over a restaurant without the proper experience or passion for the business. Itâs sad to say, but this was our last visit. El Buen Gusto used to be a hidden gem with true Mexican flavor and warmthânow, itâs just another place that lost its soul.
I sincerely hope they reflect and realize that running a restaurant requires more than just owning a spaceâit takes heart, attention to detail, and respect for...

I brought this home for dinner for my sister whoâs lived in multiple parts of South America, and my family from Tucson. We have eaten SO much mole as a family. At various price points. And this ranks among the best. All of us were stunned. As far as myself and my husband are concerned this was THE best.
Two of the many people at this point I have bought this for said they didnât even like mole before they had this. Which usually would make you wonder about its authenticity- I promise you, itâs authentic and incredible.
We have had other bits and pieces and I love it. The staff is kind and lovely, the food is thoughtful and authentic and never overly greasy. Itâs perfect. And itâs NOT Tex mex. As a Latina woman who used to live in an area known for its incredible Mexican food, I am just so stoked beyond stoked that none of their food is smothered in that fake âquesoâ half the places here are obsessed with.
I cannot recommend them enough. El Buen Gusto is officially the one place so far that I HAVE to bring people by when they visit. Please, give them a shot. You wonât be...
