El Alteno Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Antonio

I tried to give this restaurant a second chance but today made me not want to ever come back. I have no idea how people can eat their hideous food. Food used to be soooo good when it was a small restaurant, the owner would come by and ask if you’d needed anything else. Breakfast tacos was my favorite thing go eat there. Well long story short today I ordered red chilaquiles and they’re usually made with a guajillo sauce, I’m not crazy, I remember eating them like that there. When my plate showed up it looked nothing like the menu photo or how I remembered them being. I asked waitress if those were the only chilaquiles rojos they had and she stated that they had changed them. But that next time I would have to tell her I wanted them with guagillo sauce and that they would be able to make them. I said ok fine, I’ll just eat these, didn’t wanna look too picky…I took the very first bite of them and it was just so gross, they threw ranchera sauce on them and cold cheese on top, the sause tasted like straight up tap water, I don’t know how else to describe the taste but it was NASTY! I kindly told the waitress I won’t be able to eat that plate because the sauce had a nasty taste. She said no problem, she would have the cook make them with the sauce I wanted. I saw when she went to tell the cook to remake them and he made a really ugly face, he was very bothered to have to remake something that was freaking nasty in the first place. I don’t know if they know but the customers can see their faces from far away into the kitchen. I saw how upset he was making my food. Upon food arriving to table I noticed they just dumped the same nasty powdered eggs back in the plate and the same nasty and smelly pork chop and on top of that the “freshly made” sauce was cold. At this point I just wanted to eat whatever was on my plate and leave. Cashier asked if everything was ok and I said no, but didn’t bother to ask what was wrong. This place sucks, don’t waste your money. They don’t care to make you have a pleasant experience, they’re just inviting people to never come back. And I only gave it 1 star because there’s no lower...

This is exactly why I love my Westside Mexican Restaurant better Southside of San Antonio Mexican Restaurant have always been a disappointment to me and this is why, one I wish I got the waitress Name but my husband said to leave it so whtever I did I went in for dinner and ordered the Jalisco burrito asada meat (plate) tht comes with rice and bean I asked the lady what comes inside she said lettuce and tomato I said ok no lettuce no tomatoes , sour cream I told her I don’t like vegetables and since I became pregnant I’m very precise on how I want my meal well nor do I like the taste of lettuce and tomato I feel like it makes my food soggy idk just me we’ll my burrito comes up soon as I cut into it I see all this lettuce I call her over and said ma’am I didnt want lett… then just walks off so now my husband is waiting for me to enjoy my plate but instead as we wait his food getting cold get my burrito open it again look at the plate barely any beans for to mention I wanted double beans no rice first plate came with double beans well the 2ed time no sour cream and now their is onions I HATE onions at tht I have never ever received a small burrito tht she gave me nor got the double beans the 2ed round well she looks and see I’m disappointed and trade plates I’m watching her go to the back come out laughing looking at me she has bad customer service not once checked on us not asked if everything good she kept ignoring us even after she was behind my table cleaning the other one continues to pass us and still not check up man I kept it cool and I wish I would of got her name and pic she was (TRASH) in the photo look how small the burrito is bean I took for my husband plate tht we shared off of will NEVER EAT HERE OR ton the...

If I could put a zero I would! Customer service was the worst. My family and I always order the same plate and today when I went in and ordered my meal I noticed my plate was made different so I brought it up to my waitress which was also the owner and she argued with me stating that the plate was made the same as always and I even showed her a picture I had taken of my plate in the past and still she kept telling me I was wrong and she was right so they brought me what was missing and still charged me separately instead of making it right and by then my food was cold. When I finally got to the register I questioned the cashier about the charge on my ticket and she then also started to argue with me and telling me that I was wrong and that the picture was probably taken somewhere else, I asked her not to make me feel like I was lying after showing her proof and she started laughing at me, I asked her not to so she made a comment saying would you rather me having an angry face and I said no I rather you have a friendly and concern face due to my service but please just charge me so I can leave and as I turned to leave another waitress said it’s people like that and I turned and said people like what? and she keeps saying just leave and and waving her hands for me to get out.
