EZ'S Brick Oven & Grill — Restaurant in San Antonio

I went here today on my lunch break for the first time. I ordere a Jr Burguer and fries. The place was steady for a restaurant during the lunch hour rush. I got my order and when I bit into my burger I noticed that it was very pink. The hamburger patty looked like it had been put on the grill and flipped once to brown both sides and then served to me. I returned my burger to the kitchen and pointed out the problem and was told they would make me another one. Now keep in mind I was on my lunch hour as was everyone in the restaurant at the time. When I requested another "cooked" burger I knew I would most likely get stuck eating it on the way back to work in my car. After 15 minutes and no sign of my new burger I decided to just be reimbursed. I would now need to rush back to work. I understand that mistakes happen, and I understand that they had a steady lunch rush. But from the time I waited for my first burger to the time I waited for my second burger and gave up, my lunch hour had almost gone. Now when I asked to be reimbursed I asked for them to cancel the remake which I could see still on the grill. At that time what I believe to be the manager of the store asked the girl helping me what happened. This is what up set me, she explained everything to him and he looked up at me from what he was doing then looked right back down, while the girl attempting to give me my refund fumbled with her register. Another girl had to get on a separate register to complete the refund. Obviously I was not happy with the service I received but I guess because I was not making it a huge deal and being loud he didn't feel the need to even acknowledge the situation. If you're not going to do anything to fix the situation why even ask...

I've always loved EZ's its pioneering "fast casual" concept and the unique atmosphere. Upon arrival at noon we (my mother, her friend and me) noticed immediately how un-tidy the dining room was. (floors especially, un-bussed tables attracting flies). Because my mother and her friend are elderly, I gathered their orders and proceeded to the counter to order. My mother and her friend ordered the lunch special (hamburger, fries and beverage). I ordered the Super foods salad which was absolutely perfect and a glass of wine. I ordered an iced tea and diet coke for my mother and her friend. The self service drink station (un-tidy, flies) did not offer diet coke, only Pepsi products. I returned to the cashier to ask if the diet coke was elsewhere perhaps since there was no mention of only serving "Pepsi products". With a bit of indifference she replied, no we only serve Pepsi products. (not a deal breaker, yet an opportunity to apologize and say "I'm sorry we only provide Pepsi products as a courtesy. I suggested to the MOD with my own indifference and disappointment that perhaps I could have been told this when the diet coke was ordered. By the time I had retrieved the Iced tea and Pepsi for my guests who were already seated, the MOD had provided us credit for the entire meal and apologized. Perhaps more training? More common sense? I think we have a generation of young people that have never received what real hospitality feels like and is perhaps unaware of what it looks, feels and sounds like. Like I said, the food was perfect, the cleanliness and common sense needs...

Absolutely one of the best brick oven places I’ve been to in a long time, and the customer service was actually really amazing, especially considering my first time in the establishment. Very happy with my 1st impression.

Food: ♾️/10 The food was cooked to perfection! Everything I ate was absolutely delicious, super fresh and hot, and the ingredients tasted super high quality. It isn’t your typical run of the mill pizza and burger place, it offers much more than that!

Service: ♾️/10 The service was also amazing, all the workers were really nice, they offered some freebies to us. At one point, the kitchen messed up on my food and it got a little burnt on the edge (in my opinion it was better that way) and then they gave me another free pizza on top of that without me even asking. All of the food was super quick, and they even brought it out to the tables for us instead of us manually getting up and going. They definitely went above and beyond for my small party of people. Super amazing service, treated very well

Atmosphere: 10/10 The atmosphere was great, it’s a very BOOMING restaurant, but you can still have conversations. It’s very clean and tidy, even the restrooms! And overall it just feels like a homemade brick oven restaurant, very boujee...
