I am pretty easy to please and honestly wasn't expecting much based on the price, but when you are in the hospitality business, even if your place isn't the best, you can make up for it in service. The front desk didn't get that memo and have ruined their chance at ever getting my money again. My opinion is that management is cheap and thinks everyone is stealing from them and I'll get to that, but first, the basics.|| The pics online looked decent, like they recently remodeled, but the room and hallways (even elevator) definitely did not look as clean in person. I can let the cosmetics slide...again not expecting much and we just wanted a place to rest our heads after a day at six flags, but pics definitely make it look nicer than IRL. Our bathroom sink had no drain stopper and you could see all the nastiness in the drain and get a gross smell when you turn the water on. We also noticed the shoer water does not get really hot. Also noticed the knob only turns about half the range it should. Wonder if it is governed to not allow more hot water. Then there was the bag covering the smoke detector...nice. I informed the front desk as were headed out for a bit and they had someone clean our room while gone but didn't remove the bag. ||On our second night, we decided to try the pool. There were no towels so I went to the front desk to ask for some. I was actually told they don't put them out there because people steal them. Seriously, they are really crappy towels. No one wants them, LOL but they did give me some, You would think I asked for way too much when I asked for 3 (one for each of us). I mean, we could just walk through the halls and lobby soaking wet if they prefer. The hot tub was so dirty that there were dirt lines gathering in the suds of it. Yes, suds, because they probably don't use a defoamer. ||On our final morning there, we slept in a bit and decided to go down and grab some of the free "hot and hearty" breakfast. Again, not expecting much, but there was almost nothing left and they still had an hour to serve. Not even enough for the 3 of us. The woman manning the dining area was very nice and I have a feeling she is doing as she is told and not restocking. Can't be giving away too much "free" stuff, I guess. The bigger problem we had was when my son went to look at the drink and snack store by the front desk. We had already made 2 purchases there during our stay and he was holding the bottled drink we bought him there the night before. He walked out of the store still holding the same drink and was practically chased into the dining area because the front desk guy thought he stole his drink. Confronted us in front of the whole dining area. I tried to tell him we had bought it the night before (from him, mind you) and he didn't seem to believe me. I told him, "go ahead and feel it. It's warm and has barely any left in it." He still didn't walk away until another employee told him he didn't take it. That was when I got mad. Like I said, I am easy to please and didn't expect much, but that was a whole other issue. These people have such a bad attitude and think their clientele is stealing from them. If they act like that, they will even make the easiest to please clientele mad. ||There were other issues during our stay, but I know some things (like loud guests on the floor above us) are not their fault, BUT I believe when you are decent to your customers that can go a long way with everything else. For the record, this is the first bad review I have ever left for a hotel and we have...
Read moreWhile the location is convenient, several areas—particularly breakfast, amenities, and property maintenance—fell short of the standards I have come to expect from a Comfort Inn Suites property.
Breakfast Consistency and Quality The complimentary breakfast offered zero variation over the three-day period, consisting solely of scrambled eggs and sausage links. The rest of the selection was disappointing: just two types of cereal, white sliced bread, and small, rather sad-looking muffins. A key failure was the juice machine, which was out of order throughout my stay. Furthermore, the waffle iron appeared to be set too high; despite using spray, the waffles consistently stuck and tore, making them difficult to prepare. The overall consistency and lack of variety felt inadequate for an extended stay.
Disappointing Room Amenities I was particularly surprised by the bathroom amenities. The standard refillable shower dispensers, which are customary at most Comfort Inn Suites locations, are no longer in use. Instead, the hotel provided two small bars of soap and two miniature bottles of toiletries (less than an ounce each). This shift to extremely small, single-use toiletries feels like a cost-cutting measure more aligned with an independent inn or budget motel, not a hotel bearing the Comfort Inn Suites brand name. This was a significant step down from expectations based on stays at numerous other properties within the Choice Hotels network.
Property Maintenance and Service Issues The hotel exterior and general maintenance require immediate attention: • Entrance Road: The vehicle entrance from the road is in very poor condition and needs immediate repair. The cracked, uneven pavement creates an awful first impression. • Side Door Access: One of the side doors cannot be opened from the outside, which is a major security and convenience concern, suggesting it is in need of mechanical repair. • Pool Area: There are no towels available in the pool area. Guests are forced to walk wet through the lobby to ask the front desk for pool towels, which is inconvenient and unprofessional.
Summary This property missed the mark across key service areas. Between the monotonous breakfast and technical failures (juice machine, waffle iron), the cheapened bathroom amenities, and noticeable maintenance issues on the exterior and common areas (driveway, side door, pool towels), the experience felt closer to a budget motel than a hotel in the Comfort Inn Suites portfolio. I sincerely hope the management addresses these deficiencies to bring the property back up to...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. So my family in I stayed for 2 nights. My first room on the 3rd floor had a water leak and the guy was like well I would just have to call maintenance to see when they can fix it. So I said no just switch me now so I got moved to another room. All of the tubs are peeling badly but other than that the rooms are clean. Today at checkout I walked past the front desk taking my things to the car along with my daughters gaming monitor and the lady at the front desk instantly said to the maintenance man to go check my room to make sure that wasn't theirs. So I come back in to do another look making sure I have all of my belongings and tell them I am ready to check out and I need my cash deposit back. She then tells the housekeeper to go check the room she doesn't speak any English but she gave a thumbs up saying everything was good. At this time another couple is checking out and they requested their cash deposit back as well and she said wait we have to check your room too. So at this point I'm asking what's the hold up she sends someone else and then they try to say 10 towels were missing when they only give 4 large, 1 bath mat towel, 4 face towels. So I said how when they are rolled up sitting in the bath tub. So at this time we walk back and I said here's your towels. So then the guy said well there's a small stain on one of the pillow cases. Which I was like it's my daughter's hair oil which comes out when washed with bleach. So they then tell the other couple they are now missing a towel. And state that they really don't want to give the money back and they wish it was a credit card deposit then they would just charge the cards for what they feel everything is worth. So at this point they are arguing and I told the lady I was already upset because of the racial profiling us being black and the other couple Hispanic by them trying to lie about missing items when we clearly said go check our bags but afterwards I'm filing a lawsuit because she had already accused me of stealing when I walked past with the monitor. Then the maintenance guy was like here but all of y'all never come back. Even though I already stated we wouldn't book here if our life depended on it. The was my daughter's birthday trip to sea world and this ruined what was a good trip. Moral of the story take pictures of the room and the amount of towels and things that they give you because they will try to accuse you...
