It was the most Godawful place I've been to in years. Service was serviceable however the food was of poor quality. We had started of the the Gyoza (4.99) and at first sight presentation was under par. It did not look edible to be quite honest. Additionally it tasted like it just came out of the freezer. The "meat" inside was clumpy and the outside soggy. Gyoza is supposed to be crispy not soggy. Our next dish was the sashimi set C (22.95). I will begin with saying it was not worth the money. The first problem with this dish was that there was too much rice for the fish. Putting too much rice in a sashimi takes away the umami from the fish itself. Sashimi is about the fish, and the rice but in this regard it was just too much rice. The fish itself was of poor quality. It had tasted as if it was in the fridge for days and I was eating leftover. Last but not least is the Japanese bento box 2 (16.95). Upon first look at the dish I already knew there was too much sauce. Sauce was Unagi sauce and it drenced the overcooked salmon. Which made it of course at least a little edible because they cooked the salmon to death. It was so tough, I had trouble breaking it with my fork. Furthermore it was tough to chew and it was just completely dry. Tempura was not at all crunchy, rather it was oily and of course the prawns were overcooked. The sashimi I received as well was of course discouraging and the Gyoza was completely burnt on one side. If it's not soggy it's burnt. Again they had included too much rice for this dish. Overall my experience with the food here was unacceptable. The dishes were overpriced for what I was getting and the flavor was just not there. Furthermore the place looked drab, especially with the three different wood paneling. Will not be coming back.

So the sushi here was pretty good but I suggest you you stay away from the "all you can eat sushi" part of the menu the rules were so complicated on my second round of sushi they didn't add the tuna and it clearly said tuna on menu they barely put any salmon in my salmon roll it was mostly rice I have gotten a salmon roll from here in the past and it had way more salmon first I was told if I wanted to get the all you can eat sushi I had to sit alone at another table away from the person I came with or everyone sitting at my table had to order the the all you can eat sushi because my server said she didn't want us sharing I asked to speak with a manager and she told me she was the manager the person I was with didn't want all you can eat but I did so I went ahead and got the all you can for both of us which came out to $56 and I still left a $10 tip so on my second round of sushi I ordered the Batman roll and the menu said it came with tuna that's why I ordered it they brought me the roll and it didn't have the tuna I showed the server/manager the roll came with tuna and she said "it's a confused menu" so she made me feel really uncomfortable and awkward but she took the roll that was made incorrectly and made me a new roll with tuna because I had said "you know what just bring me the check" and I think she felt bad after that the man making the sushi was staring me down mean mugging me for the rest of my stay there I feel that she was taking ingredients out of our order because the tuna is expensive or something everything was fine until I ordered the all you can you eat sushi then they started being really shady and all because I ordered something that is advertised on a huge banner outside the establishment

So far, one of the best ramen I had in San Antonio. I am definitely coming back for that delicious goodness, it was so filling. Shachu Ramen with Miso base was my go to on this day. I’m going to try something different next time; now that my curiosity has peaked after eating that and wondering, what other surprises lay hidden behind those kitchen doors?👀🤔🕵️‍♂️ The Shachu Ramen was fire🔥🔥 !!! The braised pork belly 😲you just gotta try it, it is kind of hard putting it into words. It was thick cut, succulent, and tender. It’s comes coupled with corn, soft boiled egg and green veggies (don’t know which but it was good). There was also sliced shiitake mushrooms in there as well, it gave it more of an organic taste to it. And now the ramen, what can I say about it but it was pretty good. Not too thin, not too thick, a medium sized noodle which matched well with the base or broth, which ever you prefer. Everything else is second if your noodles isn’t right than neither will your dish be. Always follow the ramen. In closing I would like to say, for this to being another first for me, it didn’t disappoint. From the base to the last slurp, a bowl of ramen will always be a perfect starting point when choosing what eat. And I chose. I ate. I’m satisfied. Good Job Kai!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!! I typically come here often but the past 2 times have been an absolute mess! My first bad experience was when I went in to purchase 3 scoops of WHITE rice and they told me my total was $12 plus tax. I almost had a heart attack, I told them that was crazy and I walked out. The second time was the icing on the cake which was today. I ordered a to go order and asked for one of my orders to be a dinner portion since my kids were sharing the meal and the rest were supposed to be lunch portions. I went in to pick up my order and everything was charged as dinner except a child's burger and fries that I ordered for my other child. I told the guy Alex that it was wrong and that only the sesame chicken was a dinner portion. He said since all the meals were already made he would give me 10% off. I said well dinner portions are $3-$4 more. He said no the lunch portions are now $8.95 so my bill should even out. I opened a menu right in front of me and it clearly stated what I ordered was $7.95 a piece and not the $10.95 and $11.95 I was being charged. He proceeded to continue telling me the items were already made. I took the 10% and left because I wasn't getting anywhere with him. I got back to work and noticed the dinner portion doesn't come with a salad on one of the meals and that they forgot to give me chili paste for my other meal. I called and spoke to a female there which she never stated her name but she was the only one there that I saw on 07/06/2017about 11:20AM. I asked to speak with a manager and she asked me why I wanted to talk with a manager, I explained the situation and she said.. well what do you want us to do? I said well first of all put my order in right and second if it's already messed up and I'm unhappy at least make sure everything is correct and make sure you tell your customer certain things don't come with a dinner portion that does with a lunch (when in all reality I was expecting the lunch). She put me on "hold" and I could hear her talking and telling the guy that she didn't know what I wanted her or anyone there to do for me and that I walked out of here knowing I had dinner portions, received 10% off and I'm still calling to complain. She also mentioned that Alex offered to remake my whole order but I said I couldn't wait, I was on my lunch break. NEVER once did Alex offer to remake my meals, the only option I had was 10% off of my order. I would have had to go back to my office and have everyone look at a menu from somewhere else to get a new order put in somewhere else. When she got back on the phone I told her that I heard what she told the gentleman and I was never given the option to wait for my meal to be made lunch portions so I could get EVERYTHING we were thinking we were supposed to be getting. I She then proceeded to tell me that a manager wasn't there and since I already took the 10% that they couldn't do anything else for me but to offer me another 10% off on my next visit. Well..... THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER VISIT!!! Had they handled this situation much better I could have looked past a few things but they did a real crappy job of addressing the situation and her attitude SUCKED!!!! From the moment I walked in she had an attitude on her face and didn't look as she wanted to be there...
