What's there not to love about this place. We're off to a great start because their menu is a book. The chips and salsa are still complimentary and that's a rare find in 2025. They also bring you bottles of homemade green salsas when your food comes. The vibes of the food are I wanna be Tex Mex but also with a more authentic vibe. The cheese enchiladas are good but you have to really be into cheddar cheese. I think the sharpness of cheddar isn't the greatest choice for enchiladas but it's def not bad. I'd give them a 7/10. Nachos, the same. Drenched in cheddar. If you're a cheddar cheese fan, this place is for you. The price point matches the amount of food you get. I would have to say that the breakfast is probably better than the lunch but I don't know. The drive thru is another convenience this place offers. It's probably 1 of the most affordable taquerias in southtown.

I'm new to the neighborhood and was looking for a new Mexican food place.......Its casual dining...great menu.....BIG portions had to take some home...... Lots of good flavors.... Salsa's were a bit too hot for me....tried three of them....good flavors though...... great GREAT service......kind, friendly and attentive ladies........my only dislike it's not a complaint but my personal dislike is that the enchiladas were made with flour tortillas and not corn and they're not baked Just rolled with cheese and sauce added and the chips are also flour but crispy yummy..... will definitely go back and try something else.

Party of 10: Family lunch: 1st time: They definitely didn’t disappoint the food was pretty good. The serving size is definitely shareable. My favorite was the menudo. The flavor was on point. The enchiladas were your typical Tex mex type of enchiladas. The beef fajitas were was tender. The hand made corn tortillas were a plus. I’m adding this place as one of my top favs in San Antonio for a quick bite. The customer service was good as well.

The food is good . But the service is not. I have gone in twice and these people are stingy AF with their salsa.... Never been to such a stingy Mexican spot in my life !!! Salsa should be free for your tacos you ordered , I asked the lady to give me extra salsa bc I ordered the mini tacos which comes with four . They gave me two salsa cups. For real Mexicans like me, I like a salsa cup for each taco. Whatever no biggie . Went back a few days later and ordered 8 breakfast tacos and asked them for a salsa cup for each taco. I even ripped the guy extra because he said he "got me" . But when I checked the bag there was only 5 salsa cups. It is so annoying especially because I would have saved my tip money and actually bought the extra salsa if that's the case . I actually don't even want to go in bc how stingy they are. Anyways there are better Mexican spots all over town who will gladly give u free salsa one cup for each taco is how it should be . These Mexicans are so cheap they can't even give you what you deserve to get for each taco. Literally every other Mexican spot in SATX and other Texas cities have no problem with giving the extra cups for each taco . Also can't even enjoy their mediocre food without their mediocre salsa. My salsa and tacos tastes better at home ! Not spending my money on those...

Terrible First Impression

I decided to stop by Las Tapatias De Jalisco for a breakfast spot for the first time and ordered a couple of tacos—bean and cheese, and bacon, egg, and cheese. Unfortunately, it was a terrible first impression.

The bacon and egg tacos were just okay; the bacon was soft and lacked the crispiness you’d expect from a quality breakfast taco. However, the bean and cheese taco was the real letdown. My first bite was awful—it felt like biting into a block of salt. The beans were so excessively salty that I couldn’t finish the taco, and I ended up throwing the rest away.

This experience has completely put me off from coming back. Until they address the way they prepare their beans, I wouldn’t recommend stopping here for breakfast. A disappointing...
