Roosevelt Park — Attraction in San Antonio

Had a baby shower here the place is pretty but the lady who was scheduled to supervise the event was so rude. As soon as I got there she spoke in an ugly and rude tone. As we were setting up she kept coming in and making comments on the way we were doing thing. She said to make sure to control the kids attending my event and ask that I not do the setting up because “I don’t need for you to have your baby here” where her exact words. As the night went on various family members said they were told something rude by the lady. The event ended at 8 and we started cleaning early we had the hall from 5-10 and by 9 she was kicking us out and telling us to get out because she was locking up. Not to mention while we were cleaning as she asked us to do in the beginning she was telling my aunt to mop and sweet correctly and not let the other walk over her mopping. We rented the Clubhouse for an event. Gloria from the park district was very nice and professional. Their hired staff on the other hand was a whole different story. They really need to be trained in customer service. They were rude from the very beginning. We were already under a lot of pressure to get the hall decorated and they added to the emotional stress. They commented/blocked our every move....way too much to comment on. We were treated like we were 5. At the end of the night, we grabbed the garbage to take to the dumpsters, and roaches scattered everywhere. We left the boxes in the car over night and checked them the next day before bringing them in the house. Everything we went through, was not worth the emotional stress. We broke down the tables and chairs at the end of the night, just as the contract stated, swept and mopped the whole facility and took out the garbage and, somehow, they still didn't seem satisfied. Something tells me that we won't get our deposit back. RENT AT...

If I could put zero stars I sure will. Had my baby shower over the weekend here and the lady who said was going to supervise since we didn't hire security was going to be watching our move through her window in office. She says nothing can be on walls no dj didn't even give a reason for, told my family members something rude when she could have consulted with me directly not them. I felt like I was in prison doing a baby shower because when I looked there she was starring at us through the glass window we had to sweep mop and take trash out we had hall from 4-9 and I ended my shower early because I was done with her. So she did not just be rude, ugly but ruined my whole baby shower. Never again will I get this place nor recommend at all. Rather done it at a park less stressful. plus was only allowed 30 minutes to set up, my guest were showing up and it was not even done....
