Stay SA Historic Vacation Rentals — Hotel in San Antonio

Our stay in Leigh Cottage was amazing! We chose this home because of its location and how close it is to Lackland AF base. We were attending graduation for my Airman. It’s location is easy to find and the area offers many wonderful restaurants, an HEB, and easy access to the Riverwalk. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The home itself is dreamy. Its roomy open concept floor plan is perfect for families to enjoy their stay. There are three large bedrooms, each with it’s own closet and dressers, big beautiful windows to let light in but also the perfect window shades to keep light out when wanting to sleep in. The master bathroom is straight out of a hotel design. The second bathroom is large and also very well designed. The kitchen has gorgeous countertops and a large granite sink. An added bonus for us was that the kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked with paper goods, soaps, towels, etc. we didn’t have time to shop for anything, so we really appreciated that. The beds are very comfortable and extra linens are provided. There is also free, hi speed WiFi. For guests who enjoy spending time grilling and hanging out, the back yard is set up just for that! It was 30 degrees during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy that part, sadly. This home is perfect and CLEAN! My family and I agree that we will definitely stay here again. Our family has traveled to many sites and gave used VRBO to plan numerous vacation stays. This house, however, was the worst experience that we have ever had. Upon arriving, we were disappointed to see that the house wasn't older and more worn down than expected. While that alone wouldn't have been an issue, we encountered several issues once we entered the home. First, the air conditioner wouldn't work on the right side of the house (side opposite the master) it was hot and wouldn't cool down, making the stay uncomfortable for my parents. Next, we were disappointed to see the bathrooms had stains inside the tubs(mainly the master), on the shower curtains, and all around the base of the shower. The living room and kitchen were clean and decent, but then we encountered another problem in the bedrooms...three of the 4 bedrooms had hair on the beds. We had all the issues upon arriving at the site. Once we noted these issues, we contacted the owner several times, but he ignored all of our attempts to reach him. We ended up leaving, without receiving any type of refund, and purchasing a stay at a hotel instead. We were extremely dissatisfied with this location. If you're traveling to San Antonio, I wouldn't recommend this site at all. We stayed at the Drury Inn Hotels instead and had a much cleaner and...

Todd wins "Best Host" hands down!! We, 7 ladies, stayed in his gorgeous San Antonio house and were greeted with a fantastic hospitality basket full of "munchables" from the area, and sparkling waters. Todd called to make sure that we had made it in, and gave us several great recommendations for restaurants along the Riverwalk. The furnishings inside were top of the line. The kitchen contained everything we needed and then some! The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. The large outdoor patio was lovely but we weren't able to use it much because we were there in September and it was quite warm. One of our guests did use the back "Guest House" and it was wonderful as well. Getting to the Pearl Brewery area and Riverwalk was a very easy drive. We also visited El Luchador, the neighborhood bar. Very happy we decided to do that. It was quite fun!
