Long John Silver's — Restaurant in San Antonio

I absolutely love LJS but I don’t get to stop by very often. For this location the fish and chicken were excellent. My coleslaw and green beans very good too.

As far as service… i came in at noon today and I feel bad for the manager, older gentleman working his butt off with almost no help. The young girl working the counter didn’t even acknowledge me for a good five minutes when I walked in. She just left me standing there, no hi, thanks for coming in, hey great to see you, hey we are busy I’ll be with you in a minute, nothing. I did not exist to her. The manager had to keep telling her what to do, she didn’t acknowledge him either plus looked disgusted he was making her work. He was so patient with her and you got the feeling she did not want to be there. These kids want $15hr but deserve about $5 an hour.

Mr manager I wish I had gotten your name, it is Aug 24th noonish. He even walked around the dining room checking on customers and their meals. No one does that in fast food. You sir deserve a raise.

To LJS, dude, invest some money in this location and clean it up. The outside looks like trash. Walls falling apart, property unkept. Inside, The kitchen has oil dripping from the vents and they don’t work properly because the inside is filling with smoke. The counter top on the back wall behind the register is falling apart and looks like trash. The walls are filthy and covered in oil. I regret coming inside and seeing how bad this place looks. This place needs a good cleaning and upgrade. Don’t blame the manager either, poor dude has no one that works with him. I love LJS so please clean...

Went through the drive through and and I asked for tartar sauce and vinegar packets and the gentleman at the window said I only have three tartar sauce and I said well can I have them please and he said yeah and I said can I also have some of the vinegar packets we just don't have very much tartar sauce because we are closing. And it was like 2 or 3:00 in the afternoon. Will I drive down the road get to the house open up the food and everything looked especially Brown like super dark extra long time once I've been into the food you could definitely tell that they had given us twice fried food the crust on the fish was so hard and greasy not to mention that the shrimp was like rubber hard on the outside crust and rubber on the inside. No joke No Lie. I don't eat Long John Silver's that often it's a treat for me normally. But after that meal I probably won't have Long John Silver's for a very very very very very very long time I was sick to my stomach from all the extra Grease from them double...

In days gone by,  Long John Silvers was the seafood place to go.   This chain was once  scattered all over San Antonio but over the years  its  number of restaurants have been  reduced to a handful.  Nearest to us now is Long John Silvers on Walzem Rd.   Ignore the staggering  calories of their meals if you want to eat delicious, tasting seasoned fish/shrimp/chicken combinations.    The batter or breading is so good,  complementing  the main menu item.   This restaurant is one of the older restaurants but their  dining & restrooms were being maintained.  It was   clean except for a recent ice spill (safety)  on the floor leading to extra seating & restrooms.  Today we ordered at the counter  a Seafood Plate of Fish & Shrimp with two sides (1290 calories)  and a  Fish & More.   With a 15% Senior Discount, we paid  $16.44.   The order was brought from the kitchen  to our table with a smile.   We will continue to patronize  this Long...
