The food has always been great as I am a regular customer. Ali the owner is a standup guy and the employees are very friendly. Well today I had an issue with a cockroach crawling over our food. My kids and I were disgusted and I brought it up to a female employee's attention. The employee apologized and began walking away without addressing the issue. I called her back and asked her if she was going to do something. She asked me what I wanted her to do and at that point I got upset. I asked her if she would eat the food after a roach crawled over it and she offered to give me a refund only after telling me that every restaurant had roaches. I agreed with her but then pointed out that roaches don't usually crawl over peoples food as they are trying to eat. The employee then said that the roach did not come from the food as if that mattered. The employee got closer to our table and bumped my 5 month old's car seat which was on top of a high chair. I had to tell her to back off because she was going to cause the high chair to tip over. I got an opportunity to speak with Ali the owner and he was more than willing to make it right. He offered to remake our food, move us to a different table and refund me my money. I turned down the food offer but did accept my refund. The female employee in question is Ali's wife
*I was not going to write a review but after seeing the facebook reviews on Ali's Pizzaria I couldn't help but notice that this same employee (Wife) Ms. Bethy Garcia wrote a positive review posing as a regular customer and had Ali's Pizzaria replying thanking her for dining in at the restaurant!! 🤦🏾♂️. Ali's makes great food and there is no need to write fake reviews to pad your stars. I am very dissappointed in the lack of customer service and I will never return. To Ms Bethy Garcia- please take notes from your employee. She was very professional like she always is. I am giving it 2 stars only because I like the food and Mr. Ali. This is an honest and accurate...
Read moreWe ate here for the first time today and we were not impressed. We ordered two appetizers, two medium pizzas and three drinks. The appetizers orders were too large for our party of three, but the female at the counter didn't even attempt to let us know. There were no fountain drinks; they were out of Co2. The female who took our order said she would bring our bottle sodas out with our food (I guess to save her steps and time and afford her more time on her phone), but we did not get a chance to request them earlier because she walked off too quickly. She brought out one pizza. About five minutes later she brought out our second pizza. After we started eating, she brought out our appetizers! (We ordered Veggie Rolls, but they were only dough, cheese, and mushrooms!) At this point, we had to ask for our drinks because she forgot. As we ate, no one came to find out if we needed anything or if there were any problems. After we ate, we had to go to the counter to ask for To-Go boxes. Then we hit the game room. The change machine was out of order. Back to the counter to get $5 worth of quarters. But after those were gone, no more quarters! There was a different female at the counter at that point. Same as the prior female, she was not very apologetic. Neither of them seemed very interested in the quality of our experience. The food was good, but that did not make up for the bad service, neglect in maintaining supplies, or the fact that not one employee acknowledged us when entered OR when we left. In the future, we MIGHT get something To-Go and skip the Dine-In...
Read moreI never been to Ali's before and didn't know what to expect. I decided to dine in and order the daily lunch special for $8.95. The staff was very friendly and the dining area was very neatly clean. After customer's where done eating and left, staff would come to the table and clean with a sanitary spray. Now to food, I ordered pasta with chicken and mushrooms and a single slice of pizza. The pasta lunch combo comes with a salad, main meal, and drink. They serve you the salad first while you wait for your main meal. The wait time isn't very long. The salad had a quality look to it with it's various leafs of lettuce, olives, a whole green pepper, shredded carrots, hominy, sliced tomatoes, and cheese, needless to say it was a delight to have as part of the meal. The main course and pizza slice came out almost as I was done eating the salad, so service was excellent. The mushroom chicken pasta had a taste that's hard to explain, but was good in flavor that didn't overwhelm the mushrooms or chicken. The pizza was larger and very tasty, it's supposed to be a New York style pizza. I've never had a pizza slice from NYC so I can't compare this slice from an authentic pizza slice. It was different than other slices of pizza I've had in the past and gave me the idea of how a pizza slice from NYC would taste. It wasn't greasy and had the right amount of sauce to it. I would recommend anyone craving some good Italian food to visit and give it a try, I know I'll be going back to try other dishes and ordering a...
