What a treasure. My friend suggested it. They will continue to be my friend LOL. I gave them a three for atmosphere because the AC seemed to be having a hard time cooling this place. Of course there is a crazy heatwave right now. Keep in mind they have the big Molina section where they're making the tortillas and it's all open to the restaurant side so that probably added to the Heat. It wasn't uncomfortable just thought I'd give you a heads up. Let's start with the tortillas my friend is into corn tortillas so I thought I'd give them a try, always a good call with barbacoa. These tortillas are made in-house. You can see them making the tortillas right there. These are incredibly thin so much so that the taco had two of them wrapped around the meat, but let me tell you I'm not a fan of corn... I am now. The Barbacoa taco wa moist and juicy hardly any drip, just a bit of fat, but if you know me you know I believe that good meat always has fat, it's where the sabor comes from. Just don't eat it LOL. Carne guisada was not my favorite but I really like the brown gravy one this was a little more on the pinkish red side. The meat was flavored well and Incredibly tender but the gravy wasn't as thick as I'm used to. Now that said, they put it on one of their in-house made flour tortillas and that made up for everything LOL. Also tasted a beef fajita taco. Just a little bit on the chewy side but that flavor was incredible. This friend was not feeling it today so they just had a bean and cheese on corn. They said they really liked it and they will be back again for more. FYI there is a bakery adjacent. A lot of classic choices and a few choices that were more modern. Overall great service Friendly Smiles. And I bought a bag of the corn tortillas for chalupas. I always like that as a quick meal just throw some beans and cheese on and throw them in the microwave. The difference with these tortillas was that they actually held up while you put the beans on them, and then they held up even after I took them out of the microwave you could actually pick it up and eat it like the way we used to eat chalupas LOL. I had one of the tortillas by itself just to see if it was my imagination but it wasn't, that flavor worked for me. Will be back hopefully with a little more time and a little more space in the...
Read moreI typically don’t complain or post online but I honestly felt annoyed at how I was treated. I have been here before various times and usually for dine in which is different staff and they are always kind. This is the second time I order To go. I called my order in ahead of time and before I got off the phone I asked how long for my order to be ready they said 15 minutes. Called my order in at 11:22 got to the restaurant at 11:30 (I was rushing because I had to be at work at 12 pm but since they told me the wait time was 15 minutes so that’s why I went ahead and ordered) I waited another 10 minutes and at 11:40 I went and asked if my order was ready or no. And the lady that I asked I think her name was Elizabeth said “they just started on your order, another 10-15 minutes” I said I can’t wait that long I need to be at work by then. And she’s like well there’s orders ahead of you to which I responded I understand but when I called the order in they said 15 minutes if they had said anything longer than that I would’ve said never mind I’ll go elsewhere. She then just walks away. She finally brings my order out at 11:55 and I said can I please check it and she shoves it towards me. I start checking and two of the tacos were wrong to which I let her know and she proceeds to check the receipt goes back to the kitchen comes back to me and shoves them In front of me and walks away… no sorry about the delay nothing!
I’m disappointed and this should not come off to anyone as if I’m expecting too much because no, this is a restaurant they are there to SERVE people. So the service I received today was one to turn me away and not come back. I’m sure their business won’t slow down as they are a very popular location but just posting...
