AWARENESS POST 🚨🚨PLEASE SHARE, MOMS WATCH OUT, SINGLE MOTHERS WATCH OUT! WOMEN IN GENERAL Holiday Inn Express Medical Center Area, 102 spencer
I usually don’t do things like this and I would have just left a review but I felt this was beyond serious and traumatic to not share. My son turned two last Thursday and me and his 3 pre teen sisters took a trip to San Antonio and stayed at the Holiday inn. We arrived to our room around 9:30 pm on sat once we left seaworld. The following morning I called for towels around 9am and then I woke the kids up so we can get breakfast, I really feel we were targeted once we all went downstairs. Fast forward maybe 30-45 mins I call back down requesting the same towels but I ended up telling the front I will just come down and get them cause I had asked already and we’re getting dressed for the pool. About a few moments later a Hispanic male wearing all black just walks into our room, NO KNOCK, NO HOUSEKEEPING ANNOUNCEMENT , , NO PERMISSION TO ENTER,NO COMPANY LOGO SHIRT AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST NOOOOOOO MFNNNN TOWELS IN HIS HAND. At this point I am very shocked and appalled because all the girls are naked and one was specifically bent over at the front door and he was directly behind her. He instantly says sorry sorry and closes the door. I then phone downstairs and inform them of what happened and that I needed management asap and I’ll be down. I go down with the kids, drop them to the pool then I go back to the lobby, I then ask her where’s the manager and where’s the employee that just walked into our room, she tells me she’s not sure about the employee and she will have to call to see if the manager will come. I advised her very firmly NO get him here now! So she says she will come by the pool and get me so… here I am waiting a hour by the pool I go back inside to get pool towels and there the manager is behind the counter on the phone…. So I take the towels to the kids and return to discuss the matter. Right off the bat he was very problematic and he wanted to discuss this in the lobby, I asked can we go to your office this is a sensitive and private matter he tells me no we can talk there or in the breakfast area, so at this point I’m livid but I still was professional and didn’t act like a mad angry blk woman. I informed him that I would be calling the police and he immediately got offensive and asked what I needed to speak with him for… weird right cause your the manager anywho… skip along I asked him about the employee and he didn’t want to talk he stated I can get the information from the police. NOT once did I receive and apology, greeted with empathy , nothing it was as if I was a problem! So I instantly started recording as well. He bascilly declined to talk to me because I was recording and told me to just contact the police, so I did and they came and did their report. The worker stated to the police he was dropping off the towels inside the room which was very weird right, (even the police stated that’s weird) because no one gave you permission and although I love being catered tooo I know they don’t bring the extras and put them in the room for you. Long story short we will be having a detective from Svu reach out to us and I have contacted the corporate of holiday inn on Monday and here it is Friday and I haven’t heard anything. My room wasn’t even comped and the manger left before the police arrived. Ladies please be careful, be be aware of your surroundings, and always always speak 🗣️ up!! I’m not sure of where this situation is going to go and I have prayed about it countless times but I did want to bring awareness and...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! My child plays travel soccer and as a result we stay in a lot of hotels. I am an IHG member and normally love the experience BUT this establishment was the WORST! The first day we checked in after traveling from South Carolina and I was in totally shock at how unkept it seemed. Here are a couple of observations, the halls smelled, the rooms you could tell were old and not upgraded, there were stains on the comforter, and the ice machine was held together by tape to name a few. As we were tired I decided to see how breakfast was because as previously stated my kid plays travel ball and having at least one meal at the hotel saves money, right. Well OMG the breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! There was not the normal variety, the food tasted bad, the presentation of the food let much to be desired. Overall a BAD experience. The pool was in the front of the hotel which meant anyone could have walked into the pool area because of course the gate was not locked nor did it require any kind of key, you simply push and the gate opened. NOT safe at all. The location of the hotel was conveniently off of the interstate but it left MUCH to be desired. The last straw was that the water was turned off on Thursday, July 4th day and we were not informed. How I found out, my kid goes to take a shower and there is no water. We were told it would be back on in an hour, needless to say 4 hours later the water finally came back on. We took showers, got dressed, and checked out a day EARLY. We checked out on the 4th of July which was supposed to be a fun time but we spent it finding another hotel because we wanted at least one night in San Antonio to be enjoyable in our hotel. I would NOT recommend staying at this property. I would highly suggest IHG explore the option of removing the IHG brand from this property. This experience was the absolute worst and made our trip to San Antonio NOT what it could have been. PLEASE do not be deceived by the pictures because when we booked I looked at the pictures and was utterly surprised...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! This property is adjacent to a neighborhood that looks little distressed, but that’s not their issue. The hotel itself might be the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed at a Motel 6 many times in my younger days. The front desk staff are fantastic. Very friendly and courteous. The good vibes stop there. For some odd reason the ac was set to 61 when I entered the room and it was absolutely freezing. The tv remote doesn’t match with the tv and there’s no way to access a channel guide with the remote, so enjoy just flipping through channels. My room has, and I say has because I’m writing this during my stay, a faint aroma of mildew and urine. I sprayed almost a whole can of Lysol and it did nothing to cut the smell. Nothing. On my second day housekeeping made the beds, took my old towels, and left me with two bath towels, no wash cloths or hand towels. Yeah, that’s not weird. The plaster over the tub is peeling and a big strip looks like it will fall at any moment. The paint on the tub is chipped. The outlet between the beds doesn’t work so I had to plug my phone in across the room to charge it. Did I mention that my room smells like urine? I got back and fell asleep, but I was jarred out of my sleep by the sound of stomping in the room above me. I can’t recall a time I could hear the footsteps of people in a room above me. The ceiling / floors must be made of paper. Hey, did I mention my room smells like urine? Because it does. The beds are okay and I woke up somewhat rested. I refuse to try the complimentary breakfast. Fortunately, I served in the Army and I’ve slept outdoors so I can tough out this room for a few days. That being said, I will neverrrrr stay here again. I can’t quite figure out why, but the microwave is sitting like it will slide off the shelf. I usually have a good experience at the Holiday Inn Exoress and Suites, but I guess all good runs must come to an end. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to spray some more Lysol and...
