This place is really far from where I live, and I went at 10PM on Saturday evening. The staff are super awesome, and I would come back again just based on how friendly and helpful they were! They were super patient with first time patrons as well. I dig the food truck vibe they have, and they were blasting some nice 90’s R&B. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. It was surprisingly pleasant outside so that’s where we sat. I ordered the Original Philly, no green peppers add lettuce, tomato, Mayo. They have zero issue accommodating customizations. My gf ordered the Cheesesteak salad and we shared a large order of Parm and Herb Fries. She also got a Mango Philly Water Ice with Chamoy. The service was very fast, and the food was piping hot. My sandwich was spot on and took me back to my visits to Philly, eating Pats and Gino’s, and Tony Luke’s. The salad was good and the fries were legit. They provided dipping sauces for the fires as well. My gf love me the Mango Philly Water Ice. All in all it was a good experience and I may end up trying the one closer to the house. Good food and good vibes, and a great place for late night and after party munchies.

If you've ever had a Philly cheesesteak you know their good. But at Maliks, dang son. I just can't explain. I ordered an original with extra cheese and added jalapeños. It did not disappoint. Came out pretty quick too. Also had an order of their bacon ranch fries. Get you some cause you don't wanna most out on that.

I've known about this restaurant for quite a while just never had a chance to get to it. Made the trip down to the San Pedro location near downtown San Antonio on a Saturday night. It's a food park with two trailers there one is the Philly cheesesteak another one is King Krabz. There is indoor and outdoor seating. parking is a little bit of a trick in that neighborhood but it worked out. large menu to choose from with a variety of Philly cheesesteaks. for me I chose the original Philly cheesesteak with Wiz, fries and a Dr pepper. Cook said it'd be about 20 minutes for the order. Found a table inside it was only about 13 minutes. Good size sandwich very tasty bun. Meat tasted very good with the whiz and the onions. French fries were a little bit too large for a single person. Seemed a little greasy and soggy but I ate about half the order. All together the meal the service the price the availability of seating Was a good experience. Definitely recommend if you're in San Antonio give it a try. I'll go back and try something else

First let me say, I am a Philadelphian, born and raised. For obvious reasons I will not be going back to Malik's. There was a bug, a fruitful in my water ice. As you can see I had eaten most of it when I looked down and saw a bug. I was not outside eating, so it could not have flown in accidentally while eating it. It was embedded inside the scoop. This is from the Universal City locations.

I stopped eating the cheese steaks from Malik's years ago because of the rude staff at the other location in San Antonio. My order was wrong and the cook was willing to make it right but a woman with a nasty attitude and absolutely filthy clothes claiming to be the owner decided to argue with me about it instead. Completely unprofessional situation. At this time the food was still good but not so much any more.

This food truck has been put onto my, "Don't Go To" list because of the bad quality of food, I know what a Philly cheese steak is supposed to be and this is not it. Cleanliness is at an all time low, hence, the bug in my water ice. Lastly, but most important, the unprofessional staff at the San Antonio location specifically. The guys at the Universal City location are great, a little under manned but the service is great, that why I gave a three star rating...

I visited the Maliks Philly Phamous.. at the San Pedro location .. 11/15/20 ..Ordered the original philly.. with extra steak and extra cheese... and parm and herb fries total came to 19.48... that was a large sandwich...!! The reviews ranked an average of 4.5 stars.... I was thinking I was going to have to the best cheesesteak outside philly... I was sorely mistaken... !!! I have had a better cheesesteak from Jersey Mike’s ...!!! I was expecting an overstuffed sandwich with so much cheese... That every bite would be filled with gooey cheese and steak ... What I got was dried out steak with very little cheese.... I had a few cheesesteaks in my life time.... This all came out of a food truck... For an extra 8-10 dollars . I could have had a great full course dinner.... Y’all need to step up your game... And have some better quality control happening at this location... I will visit the other location to compare... For a 20 dollar dinner out of a food truck I should expect a phenomenal experience... Otherwise no return business... Maybe I should have gone to Wise Guys... and had their sandwich.... I just feel really let down and sorta robbed of my money for this...
