Went here August 21st 2023 served by Bartender Norma.

If you value cleanliness, hospitality, communication and sanity. DO NOT GO HERE. And I will tell you exactly why.

Let’s go through this chronologically. Looked up places that have fish and chips and saw this bar close to me and decided, hey, looks like a good Irish dive bar so the food should be incredible. Pulled up and didn’t see any signage indicating that they were open as a bar or kitchen and decided to just try the door. Luckily they were open! Once I walked in, I went right up to the bar and waited for the bartender to greet me but she was busy with the only two other people that were in there and a new guest was clearly not a priority. Once she finally greeted me it wasn’t anything special and was far below basic standards. Essentially just a, hi what can I get you. No ID check, no heads up that the kitchen is closed and I was met with an attitude that projected annoyance to have to serve more people. Nonetheless I said hello and asked what Hefeweizen was on tap. The bartender responded with what I can only describe as a deer in the headlights look followed by a rude, what? I repeated myself nicely and she maintained her response then said, do you mean domestic? Defeated and demoralized I just said no, uh just light beer. She thankfully told me what light beers were available. I said great, do y’all do just pints or do you do steins? She responded with, I don’t know what a stone is but we do mugs. I said alright let’s do two mugs of corona. Got the “mugs” and requested to make an order for fish and chips. She said, oh the kitchen is closed. Frustrated at this point, I said ok, how much for the beers? She closed me out and I went to walk onto the patio to smoke and attempt to enjoy my drink. Walked over and no surprise, the patio door was locked. Walked back to the bar and waited for her to stop talking with the other two guests and asked her if there was a smoking area. She said oh yeah I forgot to unlock it. She unlocked it and I went outside. Once outside I realized that my “mug” was riddled with tajin salt. Oddly enough, I didn’t order tajin salt. And it wasn’t on the rim. It was on the entire glass so clearly they either didn’t wash the glass or washed it so poorly that it managed to cling to the glass then failed to check if they were clean before serving them. I set my already paid for beer down, and left. I’d rather lose the money I had spent on that beer than deal with this bar any longer.

So, with all of that said, if you value cleanliness, hospitality, communication and sanity. DO NOT GO HERE.

Also, if your kitchen is closed, have it posted online. If not online, then on the front door or signage out front. If not there, have whoever is on staff that greets your guests inform you during the greeting.

I’ve worked in the industry for years. The things wrong with this place are basic standards that any place should be able to meet. The fact that basic standards were not met, makes me wonder how and why this place...

Ask for Michelle or Moe they're wonderful the manager there is a sweet and beautiful young lady who takes care of everyone the bar backs are lovely and protective gentleman over the female patrons it's a fun and clean place. Unfortunately the day or early evening shift the bartenders are only friendly to the male patrons and or their regulars and are often drunk behind the bar. They're slow and will see you come in and take their time getting to you despite having no one else to cater to atm. They're not particularly friendly nor cordial and it feels as if your bothering them to ask for anything. A bartender named Norma snatched my beer away like a testy child when I said something about all this she was clearly intoxicated and had been since I'd arrived.. she offered no money back for the beer I just purchased and hadn't drank and told me to get out for saying what other patrons were saying behind her back to her face because she was so rude to me for no reason and I asked for an apology and the fact that she couldn't remember whether I paid cash or card was ridiculous coupled with this rude and unprofessional behavior was the last straw for me. I left without argument or hesitation. I was unable to complain about this because it's near impossible to get a hold of a manager day or night I was informed I might speak with someone Friday, it's Tuesday. Needless to say I won't be back there in the daytime. Their other staff are lovely and professional so I'd just watch for who's behind the bar in the future. My friend recommended this place. I was excited to try it. as soon as we walked in the people were friendly me and my girls decided to get shots at the bar to celebrate my birthday but nothing! We figured maybe the bartender was busy so we’ll go dance and come back to the bar. We come back after waiting maybe 20 minutes past and still nothing! we go to the other side of the bar. Nobody would give us the time a day so we asked somebody else to see if they could get us the drinks and we would give them money, but the bartender insisted and only serving the people the beers they ordered with out giving them any else they ordered extra and kept making faces and rude remarks . We tried to get her attention ask her what the problem was why she wouldn’t serve us but She wouldn’t even look our way told the other bartenders not to service us Again, not giving us a reason we weren’t drunk we showed up to have a great time but She kept giving attitude. She was very rude. She just didn’t like us from the start. I’m assuming since we had walked in She kept making faces and we honestly didn’t do anything. Other people were saying she’s been rude and wouldn’t serve other people Needless to say that we left and other people got up and left because of the bartenders rudeness we will never go there again.
