I knew it wasn't going to be a good time as soon as we entered those doors. All the waitresses had the longest face you could think of.
When sat down, a couple of minutes later came another waitress and asked us what we wanted to drink. We told her large horchatas and she didn't know how to explain that for sizes they would come in to go cups. She made it sound like if we wanted the large it needed to be a to go order so I clarified that yes we wanted large drinks in to go cups but that we were going to eat in the restaurant her response was "obviously"/"obvio" in spanish, and rolled her eyes as she was turning away. I let it go because I hoped the food was good enough if they had that kind of customer service.
We ordered quesabirria tacos and an order of mini tacos. The food was overly cooked in oil. I had never tasted tacos that tasted more like oil than anything else. Putting salt on them didn't save the tacos, nor putting salsa or lemon.
The only ones that were nice were the people in the register to pay up. I ALWAYS leave a tip and this time I didn't hesitate to not leave one and I didn't feel bad about it because I had never had such an unsatisfying experience at a Mexican restaurant. Nothing was well complimented.
And to add on top of it, we asked them for a small cup for my daughter (so I could give her from my horchata) and an extra plate for her and both requests were ignored. Definitely not kid friendly.
After this review, I will never set foot in this restaurant as it has nothing to desire. I want to blame the time we went? Maybe the waitresses and cooks were tired? I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as I always see that nights are overly packed in there when I drive by it. We went on a Friday after work between 5pm and 6pm so maybe avoiding those times will help you avoid such an unpleasant experience at...
Read moreMy last visit which was on a Friday night was horrible. Considering that Friday night is a busy time you would think food would be fresh, but not so. When we arrived waitres took our order me and my three sons, a bean and cheese nacho plate and a chicken fajita plate. My chicken fajita plate came in first right away I could tell the chicken looked old and reheated, the charro beans looked old and felt cold to room Temp. I decided I would just eat but as I was on my second bite I had a very hard time wanting to eat more by that Time the waitress came with the nacho plate which looked good and fresh. I told the waitress that my plate had old chicken and beans looked old and were cold. She took the plate to the back and the manager came to my table asking what was wrong with my plate. I asked him to bring me a fresh chicken fajita plate, he said to me that all the chicken looked the same so I told him that was bad cause the chicken that was served to me was very old. He looked dumb founded. And asked if there was anything else I would like so I just order a beef fajita plate which came with a fresh side of charro beans and the rest of my plate looked as if they threw the sides of my first plate to the new plate. My sons told me that we should never eat there again. So if your planning on eating her be forewarned you might have the...
Read moreThe food is absolutely amazing here. My wife and I came here for the beef fajita with shrimp as well as the menudo and it was delicious. The chips and dip are also on point.
The service was sub par as our server Murillo didn’t check on us once our food was brought out. We needed plates, napkins and some chili’s but we were unable to get his attention so did without.
When you enter the restaurant they posted that meat prices have gone up so they have to raise the prices. What they don’t tell you is that the prices in the menu don’t match the actual prices they charge. Our menu said the beef fajita with shrimp was $12.99, but when we received our bill we got charged $15.99. If they are going to raise the prices they need to update their menus. I asked the cashier why they didn’t post the prices in the menu. She simply pointed to the sticker on the menu that said we charge market prices.
This is like booking a plane ticket and the airline posts normal flight prices with a note saying because fuel prices have surged we can charge you whatever price we see fit. Book the ticket, we will charge you whatever we feel like it once you enter your credit card info.
Despite the above mentioned deficiencies the food is absolutely amazing, and the restaurant is clean with a relaxing atmosphere and it’s worth...
