Poor service overall. We visited at about 8pm. Employees very antsy to go home. Main reason for Visit was gluten free options. Gluten free bun and the cookie for our 7 year old. Bun came out broken in half not looking as fresh as pictures seen. Cookie was a whole other story.
Cookies (one gluten free, one regular) did not come out with food. When leaving we realized we were missing them. There was 3 and 3 when we ordered. They told my wife they were out. So either an employee took them home, or they threw them away before closing. Refund given for cookies. Now we have to go home and make Cookie we promised our son. Not a big deal, but definitely not worth returning for.
My burger was missing bacon. Generally you don't forget what people pay extra for. Meat, cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce. Even Whataburger doesn't mess that up. They took the burger back to add bacon. Burger came back with 2 hard pieces of bacon and lettuce mashed into the side of it.
Nachos: all beans and toppings crammed on 4 chips. Maybe a little better layout and presentation for $12. Flavor on point there there.
Tip: how do you ask for a tip before service is given. We left a tip. No drinks filled. Not even a person to ask how the food was. Maybe 6 employees working. We were one of three customers... seems like they could do a little better.
Employees. Everyone seemed in a rush to go home. Girl at front counter wanted nothing to do with the front counter. A guy walked in around 8:40 and asked if they were still open. Girl that was missing was not there. The guy standing there looked back to his kitchen too see if they were still open. Made other customers situation super awkward. He even went as far as to say "If yall aren't open that's cool". Door says 9pm. If you stop taking orders at a certain time then post that on the door. Now the guy cleaning the lobby Kept on clapping his hands and walking around us as if to say hurry up. And condiments taken away before closing as well. Close to $90 for 2 kids and 2 adults seems like a stretch for quality of service and food, and missing food. Probably...
Read moreHubby and I came here for lunch. We ordered burgers, chips and queso, and fish tacos. when I ordered fish tacos I thought it’s 2-3pcs. but it’s only 1 fish taco, but it was ok with me as I wasn’t really hungry. TIP: If you order fish tacos, or any taco ask if it comes in 2’s or 3’s or just 1. It’s our first time to come here a fb i like the set up cuz when you get through the door, the menus are there for you to pick up and look at as you fall in line for your turn to order. Once it’s your turn, you a friendly server will take your order and you just leave the menu on he side. Get a table. Your name will be called when your order is ready. Also avoided coming in at lunch time on a Sunday as it gets crowded. Since the place is quaint there’s not many tables. I don’t know about other days. Hubby enjoyed his burger. I enjoyed my chips and queso. The chips were crunchy and fresh and seasoned. but I wish the cheese was a pimiento cheese not just plain cheez whiz. I am “meh” on the fish tacos. There’s nothing special about it. It has flavor but just ok. I won’t order it again. I will still definitely come back and try the other selection in the menu. Why? because I kind of like the place and location. Ample parking and just beside HEB...
Read moreI use to work for these guys and although it ranks as one of the worst places I've ever worked at, their burgers are incredible delicious. With that said i will try to keep my bias out of the review and with a side note the last time i ate at an Orderup was about 5 years ago (so this review might be worthless but I'm trying to do more reviews). The chipotle mayo is still one of the best sauces I've ever had, using it as a dip for the fries is a great choice. The burgers are great, try choosing something exotic like the bean burger, you might be surprised on how well it tastes. personally I'm not a fan of the pizzas and the tacos were too expensive to like, especially since my family is Mexican and the tacos we make just don't compare in both taste and price. The problem is a lot of restaurants just make better food. if you want a great taco go to Tink-a-tako, if you want a pizza go to Trilogy pizza, if you want a burger go to Smashburger. if your family is undecided then maybe eating here would be a nice choice. price is pretty expensive but the burgers can be worth it. overall it is average with the exception of some of the burgers, the price is pretty expensive, the service and time can be...
