This is about separate visits, some at the counter some at the kiosk. The service at the counter is good (they are nice & friendly) but if this includes food prep, eh not so good. Because I don't know if the people at the counter didn't take my order correctly. I no longer have the receipt so I don't know if they included in the order what I asked for or if the kitchen staff on their own made the mistake. NACHOS - I asked for extra jalapenos. I got a few slices. This type of mistake is a big turn off. But I do not like the chips used at all, ESPECIALLY when those yummy restaurant style chips are next door in the bakery department. I can't reconcile the choice of the chips. They don't taste good and I don't like the texture. Additionally, it seems as though I only got scraps of brisket, mostly fatty. And dislike the queso blanco, the flavor is simply not good, visually it is unappealing, and I don't like the texture of that either. There were no green onions at all on the nachos! It seemed like nobody cared at all when constructing this dish. I'll never order them again unless different chips are used and that cheese is changed too. I did not enjoy them. The loaded BAKED POTATO- was good, we ordered the TURKEY on it. The urkey was sliced. Good quality too. The BANANA PUDDING was okay. I might order again but won't miss it. The PEACH COBBLER was delicious!! But I wanted blueberry. The computer kiosk did not have blueberry as a choice. I asked an employee and she said they did have it and went to the kitchen to supposedly tell them to pack blueberry for me instead, that didn't happen. Bummer. The BRISKET PLATE - was ordered without onions, I received a lot of onions. The brisket is great! SIDES. - BEANS, MAC n CHEESE. Both are yummy. Also, I requested NO BREAD at the counter. This seemed to confuse the employee. She said something like well just don't eat it or tell them when you pick up you don't want it. Uh? Is this something I'm not allowed to... idk I'm confused. Again, it's the ordering part that is the key part. Please educate me if I am wrong. Because I don't like over handling of food for the next customer or me in the future so I just left it in the bag (as it was already in there.) and threw it away at home. But this is an unnecessary waste! SERRANO CORNBREAD- HORRIBLE. It was over baked, dry, tasteless. Again, with good jalapeno cornbread right next door...why? I say remove this item altogether or just go next door and cut individual slices if even the plain cornbread. The good news, I'm not giving up on TTB. I like to support Texas companies. I like the people there. There are good menu choices, I know which ones thus far I will/will not order again. OH! I also bought a gallon of unsweetened tea. I really appreciate this being offered! I liked the tea. Thank you. I forgot the first time to mention the CHICKEN TENDERS, they are good! I was not able to order in advance for in store pickup. The App is not available for Android phones. They don't take phone orders, so I was told. I can't order directly on the website. I was electronically directed to the HEB App that did not work. I spent a lot of time on the phone with HEB tech department (?), customer service (?) and they seemed puzzled. Idk, if they were feigning their surprise and concern; either way it was time wasted. I don't like that because I am very concise and descriptive and if your job is to answer the phone to speak with the general public you should be too. Perhaps HEB needs a...
Read morewe went to this place not knowing that H-E-B had its own bbq place everything was good went got the family pack for 4 and ordered the fatty brisket. there was some lean brisket in there but it was kinda dry. the beans tasted a little off from what i had at the food truck but they were still good. we ordered the brisket nachos but it was literally just brisket on top of nachos nothing else. when i brought it up they were like oh we forgot the queso and threw like a teaspoon of cheese on barely enough to cover anything. the reason i am giving this a 4 star is because i ordered 100 dollars in food and a gallon of sweet tea. i ate this in the restaurant they gave me everything for to eat in.. but cups. we also purchased 3 sodas being the only one that drinks sweet tea. i went to the gentleman at the register and asked for a cup for my sweet tea and he said oh if u want a cup your going to have to buy a drink. i explained that i bought a gallon of sweet tea and he said rules are rules sir if u want a cup i can give you one for 3 dollars. then finally giving in he gave me a water cup. the problem with the water cup is that after 1 drink its gone because its one of those small see through cups. but it irritated me beyond belief that after purchasing a gallon of sweet tea that i couldnt even get a regular cup...
Read moreFirst and foremost we order from here all the time. Dine-in and To-go. We always order from the register, today was no different. We went in at 6:29 PM and ordered our food from the person at the register and told her to was to-go and gave her our a name. We got our drinks and waited. Everyone before and after us had their orders picked up and their names called out. We were still waiting. My husband goes up to the food pick-up area and notices a bag there and asks if that was our bag. He person handing out the orders asks for our name and phone number and why we didnât give them a number. We told them we ordered from the person at the register and she didnât ask for a phone number. Thatâs when a tall thin guy who was preparing food yelled, âThat's why you youâre supposed to give us your number instead of standing there!â My husband and I both told the person handing out orders we were never asked about a phone number and have never have been asked at the register at any time we have ordered to-go. My issue is with the food prep person who was rude when he shouldnât have been. Thirty minutes later and our food is cold and we couldnât even ask them to make it again because they ran...
