Good Afternoon.
My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a while now and we've been going about once or twice a week and today was just the most uneventful day we had ever. Our waiter was Patrick. He had no smile on his face considering that we were the only one in the restaurant at the time of 2:45pm or so. Well, when Patrick came up to us and asked us what we wanted to drink, his enthusiasm or customer service skills weren't what we would expect with a restaurant not having much customers in it.
We were also there on Saturday night and the customer service was way better. Also, not alot of people but, at least we had a waiter that was full of life and wanted to serve his customers with a smile and enthusiasm.
So, with that said, Patrick (Waiter) also was on this kick with everything else was at $2.99 extra. We ordered the Spaghetti/Meatballs for $12.99 and it only came with two golf size meatballs and when we asked for extra meatballs, Patrick said it was $2.99 extra. Then I ordered the Fetuccini Alfredo with sausage but, I wanted it extra wet. So, Patrick also charged me with an extra of $2.50 for extra sauce which wasn't much. I have never been charged ever at other places for asking them to make my pasta "Extra Wet". Then, we asked for Melted Butter and he gave us a choice of Garlic Melted Butter or just regular but, didn't tell us that there was an extra charge for asking for melted butter. He could have melted the ones in the packets of butter and that would have been sufficient, but he charged us with $1.99 for the Garlic Melted Butter. I also have never been charged for Melted Butter as well at other restaurants. I used to be a waiter at one point in my life when I was younger and I made sure my customers were satisfied with their order and I always gave them a smile and common courtesy.
It just seemed that Patrick was just wanting to charge us for everything extra (ie: Extra Wet Sauce for the Fetuccini Alfredo, Melted Butter for the bread). He was even acting like he wasn't loving his job and so he didn't even smile or even greeted us well but, just was abrupt with everything he did.
It's just very sad that we love this restaurant alot and the pasta's are great but, when a Waiter named Patrick came to our table and with even a slight smile and with the abrupt attitude, and all these extra $2.99 charges, it just seems that this Waiter (Patrick) wanted to just charge us to Ying-Yang to get a payment made which was higher than the one we had the other day on Saturday. Our bill came to $52.43 today, and it also charged us of $4.00 for a Food Tax. What the Hell is this?
I also have never seen that amount on other receipts we've received from other restaurants. I think this waiter just decided to charge us for everything that he thought about charging us, which is unfair. We love this restaurant and some of the other waiters and waitresses are great and with great customer service. We just had a bad response or experience from having Patrick as our waiter today.
I also understand that when a Restaurant isn't busy during the week, their waiters or waitresses will make sure that the customer is taken care off with their order(s), so they can recommend this restaurant to other friends and/or family to the restaurant.
We will go there again and hopefully we don't get Patrick again...
Read moreSo it was apparent just from the menu than this is a fancy pants place. Or at least the prices would have you believe that lol. So i was expecting QUALITY ok? But unfortunately I think the food missed the mark for the most part.
I went there with my 2 siblings. My sis ordered the sugarosa ziti, and I will admit her dish is the exception to my review bc it was delicious. SO GOOD! If I ever return, that is what I would order. But sadly I don’t think I will return as this place is on the other side of town for me and while delicious, the ziti wasn’t good enough for me to crave it and make the drive. ¯(ツ)/¯
My brother and I however ordered the fettuccine alfredo. I know that’s so basic of us. I know it’s not an authentic italian dish. I KNOW THAT ok? But it’s what we were craving. And lemme just say it was the middest of all the mid fettuccine alfredo’s I’ve had in my life. Definitely not worth $20. It was giving luciano’s from the mall on a good day. And I’d rather have luciano’s.
Now, I wish I could say that was the end of my criticism and that perhaps alfredo just isn’t their strong suit. But it doesn’t end here. My bro decided to splurge and add shrimp to his pasta, which was $9.99!!! Never in my life have I seen such high prices for protein add ons. And were he to have added chicken, I believe that was $7.99 or $8.99. Absolutely astronomical prices. So we were obviously expecting the shrimp to be top notch. It was not. It was giving boiled frozen shrimp out of a bag from heb. Didn’t look grilled or even seasoned. What a waste, especially since you can still get a meal in some places for $9.99 or less, but instead my brother wasted that $ on abominably cheap tasteless shrimp 😪😪😪
Ok moving on from roasting lol. The ambiance was very nice (although the chairs were kind of uncomfy). And our waitress (didn’t get her name) was exceptional. She was super nice and friendly and kept coming to check on us which we appreciated. The bread was fresh and super good, and you get a generous portion of it. Our pastas were also generous portions- none of us put a dent in our plates and took everything to go. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of the food at the restaurant, but since I didn’t see any pictures of alfredo on here already I thought I’d upload a pick of my leftover alfredo from the next day. It still tastes the same actually, that is, mid, but hey I paid for it so I’m not going to throw it away. I will admit I’m already tired of it after the first two bites though, and it’s at this point I decided to make this review.
As someone who has been sorely craving italian lately, this was an overall disappointment. I should have insisted we went to Aldino’s at the...
Read moreUsed to love this place. Thought I would take my daughter who's older now and show her how good it is because she loves Italian. What a mistake. Waiting staff was excellent. Food was not so good. Fettuccine Alfredo for $18 was nothing but a bowl of soup with noodles in it there was so much sauce. She added some chicken to it for another $8! $26 for inedible noodles drenched in white sauce. Ordered calamari for an appetizer which came out piled in a table napkin drenched in grease and way undercooked. Was still a very light brown in the crust was falling off when you picked it up. Brought it up to the waitress when she asked how everything was, and that is when the fun began. She actually was scared to bring it up to her manager. Manager lady was standing at the bar and asked her to bring the food over to her so she could look at it. First she did the calamari and agreed it was bad and then she asked to bring my daughter's food over. I asked if she could leave her food alone and maybe come over to the table and it was nothing but attitude. Said you ate some of the calamari and that she would take my daughter's noodles back and strain them for us. I refused because I did not trust the kitchen after complaining about it. Lady told me that if she was going to give us money off we could not take the food to go. Manager was miserable and had no customer service. Finally the waitress came back and apologized and drained the alfredo sauce out there at the table into a to-go box. They knocked the calamari off of the bill. The waitress came back with a another piece of bread to go and said put this in your bag before anybody sees. She was scared to death over a piece of bread. So in the end I spent almost $60 for dog food. My plate was actually okay but I had lost my appetite with the arguing. Management here has to go. I believe her name was Gloria. She just seem like she did not want to be there. Yelling at the kitchen staff, arguing with the customers. I should have known what we pulled up and there was only one car in the parking lot. It used to be packed all the time. Very high priced for the food you get. You have to pay another entree price to have anything added to your bowl of noodles. $8 and up for chicken or shrimp and I believe $14 for salmon added to an already $20 plate of noodles. We won't be back. My daughter felt bad for...
