Not the first time I have been to this location, but first time ordering on the app.
Ordered lunch on the app at 12:44 p.m. and set the pickup for 13:00. When I got there at about 12:55 p.m. there was a long line at the drive thru, and a bunch of cars in the parking lot. I went to the mobile pickup counter, and waited until the girl got finished with the orders she had. She asked me if I had ordered , and I told her yes that I had ordered over the app. She was going to make me wait while she took another order, but I told her that I had already ordered and paid more than 15 minutes before through the app.
She could not even find the order, with the number which was 43, and asked me my name. I gave that to her, and she still could not find the order. Finally they found the order on the drive thru printer. It took her about 3 minutes to make the two chicken sandwiches and bring it to me. They had no one even working on mobile orders. As I said there were 3 people working behind the counter, and they were slow as molasses. When I got to the car, and checked them they were cold. I was not going to go back in because with them being as slow as they were, it would have taken them another 30 minutes just to decide what to do.
The sandwiches were not worth eating even after trying to warm them in the microwave. I have had bad experiences with Popeyes in more than one location in San Antonio. One time after my wife and I ate a takeout order, from a location on Nacogdoches in San Antonio, within 20 minutes we both had severe gastrointestinal distress. Needless to say I reported that one to the health department in San Antonio, and they went to inspect the location. When the health department called me back they said that the location had more than one complaint about the same thing, in the past, and that it was caused from the store not keeping the food hot enough.
Filed a customer complaint with the Corporate Customer Experience Team, but am not expecting things to change. Told them I wanted a refund of my money, so we will wait and see if that happens or not!! Would be truthfully surprised if that came about. Popeyes does not offer anything to make up for any screwup that causes unsatisfactory service or lousy food. It is hard enough to find a link to make a review.
Too bad. Their chicken is good, but not worth the price or the hassel of going to pick up and order. Will be a considerably long time before I go to any...
Read moreBig let down. I got the popcorn shrimp combo. Good sweet tea! Nice biscuit. Over cooked fries & shrimp. All of the fries were hard, some nearly burnt, none had flavor. The shrimp was almost the same as the fries. There were a few shrimp I could taste - there was a little bit of spice. For one or $2 more you could get a lot of food at long John silver big thick juicy meat fish fillets and shrimp and nice hush puppies this was a waste of money I paid over $9 for this, a huge waste of money & a very ungratifying meal, except for the tea. Oh, by the way I wanted Mac and cheese; I was told there was no more Mac and cheese for the day. I've been in San Antonio for 6 years now - way too often at different styles of restaurants this happens in San Antonio Texas. In San Antonio there are way too many inadequate restaurant managers and or buyers running these places. This would not bother me so much at a food truck because of the nature of that set up. This is such a weird REGULAR occurrence at brick & mortar establishments here. And no I'm not gonna hear the excuse, 'it's because the restaurants are so popular and it's so busy.' No no, I'm talking about places that I see on the regular in the areas that I frequent and I know what restaurants are busy and not busy. As a matter of fact the restaurants that I go to that are have a reputation for being busy always have food! I do not see myself returning to this restaurant unless I really want some sweet tea and I don't really drink sweet tea I presumed she would give me regular tea. I am accustomed to regular tea being the standard unless you specifically ask for sweet tea. I don't like the sugar aftertaste but it was good so I hope that regular tea is just as good...
Read moreThe WORST customer service i have ever experienced. I gave the cashier .09 cents in change and my credit card to run the remaining (even) amount on it. Very SIMPLE process (ive worked in retail so i know how their cash register works). He was to input the 0.9 cents as cash first then run my card for the remaining balance. Before driving away I noticed on my receipt that they in fact took my change, did not even add it in my total to the register and ran my card for the total amount. They could not handle this simple transaction and on top of that it proves that the cashier stole the change and did not do the transaction honestly nor correctly as a whole. He then proceeded to tell me cash or card because again he had no clue as to how the hell to do his job. I asked for the manager because clearly this employee had ZERO clue on what they were doing, not to mention dishonest. The manager made excuses on how these employees were new. When I explained to the manager how to do this transaction correctly he then told me that I should not be petty about 0.9 cents CLEARLY missing the point (main reason hes a mgr here and NOT at a fortune 500 company). That is not at all how you speak to a customer. The manager should have apologized, taken my change, input my change and reversed my current transaction and did it correctly. But clearly at this point no wonder the employee has no idea how to be honest or professional because clearly his boss cant be either. Previously we ordered a family meal and got all the way home and they forgot the biscuits. So AVOID this store at all costs if you can. There are seriously unintelligent people all...
