Radicke's Bluebonnet Grill — Restaurant in San Antonio

Absolutely worst experience I've had. The waitress was nice said she's been there for 20years. I ordered the "Giant Fish Sandwich" I really hate I didn't take a pic because this sandwich was on a regular size bun with a sad piece of fish hanging out of it. My friend got the fish plate hers was over cooked, mind taste like Gordon's fish sticks I didn't even bite into the sandwich just broke a piece off. The fish definitely taste like the grease needed to be refreshed or they are frying everything in the same grease. But that wasn't the kicker so I tell the waitress "please charge me for the fries I ate but this fish is not good, same for my friend" she goes to get the owner the owner comes with an instant attitude asking me " what's the problem,what do you mean it doesn't taste good?, what does it taste like? I mean it's fish how can it not taste good" and then proceeded to snatch the plates saying that's fine don't worry about. I asked the lady to please don't take offense she says "people always come in here and eat half the food then say they don't like it so they dont have to pay" and walked off. Mind you we never ate the food we both just broke a tip of the fish off to taste because it looked old, so she picked up while plates. But because she made that comment I paid for my $3.99 side of fries. I couldn't believe how she acted. The waitress had better customer service than the owner. You had a table of nurses sitting in your establishment and made a accusation of not being able to pay, money was not the issue your old grease was. And you just took money out of your own pocket. My friend brougt me here yesterday 12/2/22. I can't believe I've never been before then. This place doesn't look like much on the outside with its small crowded parking and old building. When you walk in its a whole other story, its packed with friendly faces and well kept dining room, the aroma of when i was a kid at home cooked meal. The dining room is well maintained and spaced well enough to get comfortable to indulge in some great food. I assume because i was trying to take it all in amd choose the right first meal, that from the taste and freshness this was cooked from scratch not frozen and delivered even when it came to the mashed potatoes. I had the fried jalapeno pork chop, jalapeno mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea to wash it all down. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The porkchop was amazing and definitely going back for another. The portions are big not huge but if you have an appetite it will fill you up, if you dont you have a snack or second small meal for later. The service is amazing and they all work together so no one tabke is waiting for anything for long. If one of the servers is refilling tea for their table they go around and fill eveyone that needs more. Its definitely some of the best food around...

Fresh, hot and fast service! I personally recommend their giant fried chicken sandwich with a regular size order of fries! If you want a meal that'll fill you up without putting a dent in your wallet!
